Good morning FitFam,
I have been hit and miss lately from Facebook for personal reasons, but I am on today to share some progress pictures and to share some information about my new friend/client Katelyn Capps.
Katelyn has been with me for a few weeks now and I must say she is making some fantastic progress. Her attitude , hard work and consistency is absolutely fantastic. She comes in to the gym and she is ready to go. Her form and technique has improved so much , she continues to get better and better with each workout. Here are some progress pictures. She has done so well.
I appreciate her giving me the opportunity and work with her along her fitness journey , Katelyn keep up the good work. You're absolutely killing it. I'm so proud of you.

Good Morning FitFam!!
I had a thought this am ....
"Take time to smell the roses". !!
Roses as you already know smell beautiful and It's also my favorite flower and scent..
This message isn't about actual flowers ( i'm sure that you had figured that out . )
This message is about life in general. A friend of mine a long time ago, ( I don't mind sharing his name) . His name was John Anson !!
I thought about Mr. John this morning , something amazing that he had shared with me, "always have something to look forward to"!!
It doesn't matter what it is. It could be something as simple as going out to lunch or dinner with a friend or perhaps your spouse. It could be something as simple as going to shop for a new coat or maybe even going for a walk around the block. "Something to look forward to" hmmm ... those words hit me like a brick wall and I will never forget them as long as I live ... I don't know what your motivation is for whatever it is that you want to do. But I promise if you let these words sink deep into your heart, they will make you feel so much better. There is more to fitness than weights , training and cardio and diet ... a lot of it has to do with your mind, body and soul . So again take time to smell the roses. Find something to look forward to and smile about it ... we have one shot in this life . Lets make the best out of everything EVERYDAY .... look i get it , bad stuff comes and we deal with it ... but if we can find that one thing to look forward to , it just might ease the burden ...
love ya!!

Good morning FitFam !!
To train or not to train that is the question.
Sounds like an old cliché, doesn't it?
I'd like to discuss different forms of training if I may,
we train our bodies for a lot of different reasons , for a lot of different things. We trained our bodies to do our jobs, we train our bodies in Fitness, we train our bodies to sleep , we also train our bodies when it's time to eat.
This is where a twist things a little bit.
We also trained our taste buds! You're probably asking yourself "What is this crazy Yankee talking about"??
Well I'm going to pick on salt today. Although it's an amazing element that your body desperately needs WE find a way to get more of that element than we really need. So there you go !! WE are TRAINING our bodies to need more salt we obviously do not need it... WE just don't realize it !!!
Overtime two or three shakes of the salt shaker become five or six . Our taste buds change overtime. A little salt is never enough we want more. Those who know me have always heard me say "WATCH THE SALT" " !! If I don't tell you then a doctor will...
So I will repeat that again "WATCH YOUR SALT LIKE A HAWK " . As I stated earlier We train our bodies for a lot of different things. We need to start training our taste buds!!! Just about everything that we consume is going to have a good amount of salt in it. However we find ways to add more. I'm not picking on you. I'm just being honest.
If your rings are too tight , if you're clothes are too tight, heck even if your shoes are awkwardly too tight you may want to check your salt intake.
I can't stress enough how important it is to watch your salt!!!
Let's train our taste buds just like we trained everything else so that we can be healthier and live a better life!!
Love ya !!!

Good Morning fit family!! It's getting closer to that time of year where the weather will start to change as well as our mindset.. I believe that we've all had enough of this cold stuff... for those that kept up your training and monitored your food intake, that's great ..
for those that haven't it's perfectly fine .... this is your time to shine ... let's shake off the cold and let's get moving and start eating better... we need to take care of ourselves so that we can be a positive force for those that need it.. like our families or friends ...
not to mention you may have something coming up , a vacation or a special event... Maybe youre just tired of being sick and tired..
again , this is your moment !!!!
A couple of ideas : get a small group and go walking , share healthy recipes, maybe buddy up and go to the gym together .
The idea is to just keep moving . Find a reason to do something instead of excuses not to ...
we owe it to ourselves !!
Stay awesome !!

Good morning Fit Family ...
My post today might be a tad different but I felt led to share my thoughts :
BE NICE AND BE COURTEOUS!!
It's a new year, some are trying to get on track with their personal fitness goals whatever THEY are ... We're all on this journey together, even though we have different goals... being nice , supportive and encouraging to each other is pretty important... especially to the new people getting on board !! Gyms can be pretty intimidating to some especially for the ones that have never stepped foot inside of one.. just showing a positive influence is effortless. Let's be nice to others and set a positive example..
I also want to touch base on re-racking the weights. It's a courtesy putting things away when you're done using them ... Putting things away has always been a way of life when I was growing up .
Sometimes you get caught up and you forget , it happens all the time.i get it .... I understand, but you're finished with your weights or your dumbbells or plates or whatever you're using , it isn't that hard to put them back on the rack and put things back where you found them ... again this isn't that hard. It's a courtesy and it's a nice thing to do for others ( again setting the example ) after all that is your gym. You are the one paying rent... i'm sure that you would WANT your stuff taken care of. It is a privilege to have a place to GO and to workout and to forget about life for a while.
Life is stressful enough, and we have new people entering the Fitness facility and they shouldn't have to pick up everyone's stuff. If we can all work together and just put things away where they belong when we are done using them I think that would be a major plus to any facility that you enter... at the end of the day AGAIN we're ALL in this together, so let's take care of each other as well as taking care of OUR facility ... God bless the Fitness community and as I always tell others " JUST MOVE " !! Stay focused, positive and STAY awesome everyone!!!

Good morning fit family!! My word of the day is balance!! I'll start with balance in our daily food intake ..
Breakfast , lunch and dinner!!
I'm pretty sure that whoever raised us from childhood up until the time we started taking care of ourselves we were fed 3 squares per day AROUND THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY ... we were BALANCED..
Something happened along the way . We'll skip breakfast ( no time , not hungry, whatever it may be ) .. Then we'll skip lunch or eat at a different time , and dinner is pretty much the same ... look I get it , I really do , work , family, time I know ... but seriously WE need to get back on track with our BALANCE ...and it starts with you .. you are accountable for yourself when it comes to food .. Here is my suggestion/ challenge to you .. Find a time that you can be CONSISTENT on a daily basis for you for the 3 meals ... it can make a big difference in your life .. if not we'll never get back on track ... if you need help or suggestions on how to begin or start ... give me a shout .. let's talk .. if you need a fitness plan again let's talk.
