Sorry on the no post from the last week of racing. Tonight we rolled out 3rd in the heat race was getting a feel for the car dropped to fifth. Started the feature 10th. Had a lot of cautions in the race. I played it a little too safe and kinda shot myself in the foot. But still had the arrow up and finished 8th. Which locked us in 4th place in points! Wish mom was able to be there to enjoy the end of the season and the pints finish. I know she was watching down on me tonight. Bitter sweet altogether.

So got it ready to hit the track after everything that has happened since Saturday I’m shocked it is ready. Saturday new car got totaled then Sunday mom went down hill from brain cancer. Monday got worse. Then yesterday the man upstairs called her up. No here it will be the first Friday night with out mom knowing she won’t be here in person. But this the old girl pointed out the issue with the old car because had to redo the whole steering set up on the car. (Crying while writing this so if it is bad grammar I’m sorry). I’m doing what she wanted and that was if she passed on a Thursday or Friday I still race. So I got car set and ready hope it works and is fast

This is my mom the best mom ever. She has been battling brain cancer for the last five months and today she lost the battle. She was my number one fan and never missed a race unless she was sick. So I will be at gravity park speedway tmrw with the old chassis going to rip around the track like she told me to. Mom I will always love you and damn it I’m gonna miss you. 😭😭

So after looking over the damage. We had no choice but to put the Old Girl back together for the remainder of the season...

So gravity rained out last night. So last minute decided let’s go play at Plymouth tonight. Heat race started 6th finished 6th. Unfortunately we ended up going into the b main. Car feel great just learning it. Started to move up on a restart and had another driver run out of talent and came down hard on the car had another car inside and crushed the car up bad. Will be doing a lot of repairs to try and get it ready for Friday at gravity. Wish us luck!!!!

Well finally got a heat race in with the razor chassis. Heat race started 3rd finished third ran my fastest lap around the track ever. So puts us in third to start the feature. Get two laps in and a guy ran out of talent spun in front of the field and collected us in the mess. Tore up the left front couldn’t finish. So now onto repair more things

So a little race update from the past few weeks. Last Friday races were rained out. Did some different stuff with car and decided Thursday to go to 141 speedway and do a test. Test went ok wasn’t happy with car. Got home at 11pm and my son and me went to work. We put a new set up in car. While we were working on it found out slave cylinder went bad and was leaking all over. Got that done went to bed at 2:30am. My son stayed out there til 3 and got car all ready. Went to gravity Friday in the heat race went into turn two and trans locked up. Night was over. I wanna thank everyone who has helped me get to here. Will have car fixed and ready for next Friday.

Nothing like getting off your butt on a very hot and humid day to pull the car apart to have ready for Friday!!

So last night was an eventful one. Started on the pole for the heat race. The car felt a lil off but drove it to a fourth place finish. Off track discovery… right front ball joint nuts had backed off and was causing some binding. got it right, tires all prepped and made feature adjustments. Started feature on the pole. track had a lot of character. Fell back to third after start, was running fourth for a decent amount of time and then decided to try and take a wall down. Saved the car and kept er going…falling back to fifth. Got ran up the track and fell back to 8th. caution came out and had a little hiccup plowing into the guy infront of me. Ended finishing 6th. so in the big picture was pretty decent for what it could have been onto next week. lots of work to do now!
