A quick note about exhibitions:
We work hard to keep our shows running on time and as efficiently as possible. Exhibitions are sold in pages with a drag every 30 minutes, and our goal is to have them completed by 7:45 PM so we can drag and start PeeWees at 8:00 PM.
Starting on time is important for multiple reasons. Once the race begins, we typically run around 45–50 horses per hour, which helps everyone have an idea of when they’ll run and prepare their horses accordingly.
Lately, exhibitions have been running over more often, so we’re going to be a little more diligent about keeping things moving.
Because of the long alleyway setup, we really need everyone to work together during exhibitions. If two riders are slow working their horses, one can begin and the next can follow once the first rider passes the first barrel. This helps keep things moving and makes sure everyone gets their exhibitions.
We understand that some horses need a little extra time, and we never want to have to cut anyone off. However, we also have to be fair to the competitors counting on us to start at 8:00.
We appreciate everyone helping us keep these races running smoothly, fairly, and on schedule! If you have questions reach out to Gabby directly.
