Ok Monday reflection but not until I've had a whisky. It's been a roller-coaster of a weekend. First off Langlade County Motorplex great venue and atmosphere!
Friday morning tech went well and we headed out for practice Friday afternoon. Jack was bad fast and the exact words were "Dad don't touch anything" BTW anyone that knows me understands how difficult that is.
Saturday morning Race Day! Jack rolled out P7 for the green flag in the Van De Hey Financial Services, Accurate Fire Protection ride. Turn one he rounded the outside holding his line. In T2 two cars got collected as he went to the inside he for 4th he got hit cutting a tire and bent an axle. He drove his we'll despite the damage to a 8th place finish.
Drama alert: All karts had motors torn down and 10-17 we're DQ'd including us. There was a massive communication error between the series and their mandated engine builder leading to a reversal on Monday. If you want more ask me privately.
Sunday during drivers meeting it was agreed all kids could run despite the previous days ruling.
Jack rolled out dead last P14 and drove through the pack to P5 when on the last lap his motor expired. Who knows the cause but we can only move forward to Crandon. Thanks for all the support!
