Over time, I’ve come to understand that life isn’t meant to orbit around love alone. Love matters, yes, but it was never meant to be the axis of your existence. There is a quieter, more enduring work that asks for your attention first: the work of becoming yourself. Of learning what stirs you awake from the inside, what steadies you when everything else feels uncertain. Chasing affection can feel like purpose for a while, but it eventually empties you if you don’t know who you are without it. People will enter and leave your life, sometimes gently, sometimes without explanation, but the one relationship that never steps away is the one you have with yourself. That is where growth begins. That is where healing lives. When you choose your own becoming, your own joy, your own expansion, love doesn’t disappear—it simply finds its rightful place. Not as something you cling to, but as something that walks beside you. There is so much more waiting for you than being chosen by someone else.
There is a whole world that opens the moment you choose yourself.
