I'm going live with my guy Davin J White as we discuss several hot topics in the sports world that we believe affect not just Natchitoches kids but anyone anywhere.

1. The Generational battle. Has the back and forth of both new school and old school gone far enough? Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Who has a point?
2. The handshake line in sports. For those of you that didn’t watch the NBA finals, much has been said about San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama not shaking hands with the Knicks after the series. Bad sportsmanship? Or useless patronizing? We’ll talk about this at length
3. What’s the line between motivating the younger generation (your kids) and unreasonable expectations and pressure?
4. Coach/Parent/player - lots of interesting dynamics here. What is the best way to have a trio here that helps get the best out of the kid?
5. Recruitment for high school kids with the new transfer portal rules and NIL money available.

I know I’ve not been doing these much but Wednesday I’m doing a podcast with a friend (he will remain a mystery until he can for sure do it) live where he and I will discuss a few hot topics that I think will be worth a listen. If he’s unable it will be just me or if someone wants to come on, let me know.

Landin MCDonald, a 16-year-old from Freedom Life Academy in Natchitoches, is going to Grand Island, Nebraska June 21-26 for the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship. The competition will be held at the Heartland Public Shooting Park.

He competed in March qualifying for state level and competed in April at state level to earn a trip to the national tournament. The top four from each state who placed will represent their respective state in Nebraska.

Brenley Metoyer and her horse 'CC' placed at the 4-H District Horse Show and she has qualified for the NBHA Teen World Championship in Perry, GA in July.

Ava Grace Townsend, an eighth grader from Natchitoches, has qualified for the 2026 National Junior Rodeo Finals June 21-27 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at Lazy E Arena. ALSO, I had someone ask me last week about rodeo stuff. Barrell racing, goat tying the whole nine. ABSOLUTELY. As a matter of fact my sister used to do it.

I found this on YouTube just a few minutes ago and thought I would share it. I'm no fool to the elephant in the room that it's not always sunshine and rainbows these days between white and black people.

BUT then there is this story.

The young man on the left loves basketball but doesn't have a goal. Long story short, His neighbor (guy on right) decided to get him a goal. Check the video out for all the details.

You can find a HELL of lot more stories and interactions like this between white people and black people where they do good things for each other. BUT that's "boring" to the media right? "We gotta sell HATE!".... Yeah that's it. "let's make everyone hate each other so that we as social outcasts in the national media can control the narrative."

WRONG. The country is ready to fight back against these people that want to divide us just because their lives suck and they are out of options. SORRY not happening. I'll share 100 of these a day if i have to.
