My regional race day at Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA started off perfect, with my Jr. Honda Heat 🏁Win🏁 (my big brother Nash raced next and WON his too 🤜🤛 shake and bake baby!), and right after I went on to also 🏁Win🏁 my Jr. Animal Heat after starting p6! Again, putting all of my cars into A Mains. 🙏 I’m totally convinced it’s my new good luck fire suit! Thank you Jerry Petty!!! It’s FIRE!!! 😜🔥

In my Jr. Animal A main, after pitting twice to completely change parts out, I drove from the back to the front both times ending with a finish in🥈 2nd 🥈! In my Jr. Honda I had really good speed all weekend, but was a little too tight in the A Main, finishing my race in p4.

Next up, North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA) to hopefully hold on to the lead in points for their Triple Crown Championship Series! 🙌🏁

Saturday was a bit of a blur. 🤪 Dad had to spend too much time at work instead of preparing cars this week (can you believe the audacity…?! 😆), had all sorts of issues develop on the RV, all of which put Saturday morning one of chaos… At this point, my parents knew we already missed practice and the heat races, and decided we would just go on down to cheer on our friends and get some practice in the next day.

However, when our mom said, “we will arrive in 10 min. and if we hurry when we park, we might could even catch watching the first Feature race…”, me and my brother had different plans! “WATCH a race and not RACE it????”… we definitely weren’t a fan and asked to try and make it.

So, we threw on our suits while going down the road. When we pulled in, the race before mine was on the track… so ALL of our sweet friends were ready and jumped into action, helping to put on numbers, unload the cars, drain fuel, put track gas in, put tires on, and got me in my car JUST as they were pushing off! Didn’t even have time to set tire pressure… Talk about “run what you brung”…😆

I started in 8th position and ended up driving up to the lead, was in a good position to win, but a caution came out with 2 laps to go. My car was really loose for several laps after my restarts (come to find out the right rear tire had too much air in it), which allowed for p2 to make a move and take the lead (awesome job to my buddy Mac Barber Racing on the 🏁WIN🏁!). While showing up with no practice and starting in the back to win would have been legendary, finishing p2 is still pretty cool! 🏁

Kalamazoo, Michigan QM race update… First time ever on this track… practice cancelled… NO PROBLEM! 😍🏁

Started 5th, no cautions, and raced my way to finish 🏁1st🏁 in my heat race! That put me starting on the pole in my Jr. Honda Feature! I also put my Jr. Animal straight to the A Main. Unfortunately, after this, my luck took a turn… the car wasn’t set like it should’ve been, but, I gave it my all and never gave up. Sometimes, that makes for a better race day than what the actual finishes show! 👊

Ready to reset and go get em in Richmond, VA next week! 🏁
