Read something during my Bible reading this morning in "My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers. "Jesus said,"I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you" (John 13:15). Notice the kind of people that God brings around you, and you will be humiltated once you realize that this is exactly the way of revealing to you the kind of person you have been to Him. Now, He says we should exhibit to those around us exactly what He has exhibited to us."
Man, that is sobering, ain't it? I don't know about you, but I get frustrated and angry with some of the people I deal with on the daily. With some, it takes every ounce of patience, prayer and understanding of human behavior not to want to slap the hair of their scalps. Yet, after reading this today, it reminds me that despite my daily prayers for forgiveness for my sins and foolishness, I too, am a knucklehead desperately in need of the love and grace of Jesus. I am so thankful that I am so far from where and who I used to be. Yet I am even more thankful that my junk, past, issues, etc. don't and will never disqualify me from the purpose and plans that Christ has for my future, not because of me, but due to Him and what He did on the Cross. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend ya'll! Charlotte.
