Yoga with rescue dogs in their golden years just hits different 🐾🧘‍♀️✨

Join us this 📆 Saturday, June 20th at 12:30 PM 📆 at OldFriendsSeniorDogSanctuary for one of our favorite monthly classes!

This all-levels yoga experience is designed to be accessible, relaxing, and filled with plenty of sweet senior dog snuggles.

After class, stick around for a special tour of Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary’s beautiful, state-of-the-art facility and learn more about the incredible work they do for senior dogs.

🐾What is Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary??🐾

What makes so unique is that they don’t have an adoption program, they have a Forever Foster Program. Through this program, people become Geezer Guardians, welcoming a senior dog into their home and caring for them! Old Friends retains ownership of the dogs so they can cover their medical care for the rest of their lives.

This removes many of the financial barriers that can come with adopting an older dog, and guardians can focus on what matters most: giving their senior best friend the love, comfort, and companionship they deserve. 🧡

Even better? Every single one of our senior dog yoga classes gives back-ticket proceeds are donated directly to support their amazing work and mission.

This all-levels vinyasa class takes place surrounded by tons of adoptable rescue cats who are free to roam, cuddle, play, nap, and occasionally become part of your yoga practice.

If someone ever asks you to lead the warm-up for a 5K, the answer is always yes... because you never know who might show up to run. 🐐🏃‍♀️ In this case GOATS!

This weekend we had the opportunity to help kick off the 5K and fell in love with their hero goats!

🐐BUT WHY GOATS?🐐

uses targeted grazing to help restore local ecosystems by removing invasive plant species that threaten Tennessee forests. Their herd is helping bring balance back to the land while teaching our community about sustainability, conservation, and stewardship.

is also working toward an incredible vision: creating Nashville’s first sustainable food forest at Two Rivers Park. Through ecological restoration, education, and community involvement, they’re building a space where people, wildlife, and native ecosystems can thrive together.

The race was filled with runners, volunteers, curious kids, and of course, some very enthusiastic goat participants. 🐐💨

We’re grateful to have been a small part of such a fun event and even more grateful for organizations like that are creating meaningful change right here in our community.

Join us for a 20-Hour Introduction to Teaching Yin & Restorative Yoga, a weekend immersion exploring two of yoga’s most powerful practices for nervous system regulation, recovery, and deep restoration.

This training is perfect for yoga teachers looking to expand their offerings, as well as dedicated students who want to better understand the physical, energetic, and emotional benefits of slowing down.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll explore:

🤍 The differences between Yin and Restorative Yoga
🤍 Fascia, connective tissue, and long-held postures
🤍 Five Element Theory and meridian pathways
🤍 The science of the nervous system and relaxation
🤍 Brainwave states, stress recovery, and rest
🤍 Creative and supportive prop setups
