The 2026 training class is in the books!
Thank you to the following:
1. Oregon and Bellevue Fire Departments for making this important investment in your teams' training capabilities.
2. SATRA for an excellent training program and world-class trainers.
3. Gerald Grain Center Inc. for allowing us to use your facilities to train these first responders.

A survey will be published in the near future to determine how we can improve the timing and structure for this event and increase our participation numbers. Stay tuned.

The registration deadline is approaching. By my count we are at 50% capacity on the class so there is still room. If you can't get the payment in this week at least get your registration sent in so we save your seat!

We look forward to seeing you at the 2026 grain rescue training class, July 21 - 24. Former class alumni are invited to join us the last two days for some skill refreshing.

Stay tuned for the 2026 NW Ohio Grain Rescue Training Flyer and Registration forms. We are just shoring up some final details with the SATRA Team. NEW: this year we will invite former alumni to return for the last two days of class to dust off their skills under the direction of the SATRA trainers.

🚨2026 SAVE THE DATE POST🚨

The dates have been set for next year's class: Tuesday July 21 - Friday, July 24!

And we have a new twist! Former graduates can return on the last two days of class for a practical refresher. We know you miss repelling off those conveyor bridges and bin roofs! 😆

We will post the registration information next spring. Stay tuned!

Update on our training stats after the 2025 class:
> 78 participants have been trained at the NW Ohio Training Center (since it opened in 2022).
> This includes 63 fire fighters and 15 grain operations personnel.
> 19 fire departments across NW Ohio have been represented at this training.

Training certificates for the Aug 2025 class have been emailed (today) to your respective departments. If you don't have it after this weekend, please email: [email protected]
