Some of you may have noticed this page has been dead for awhile. I took a hiatus after my youngest was born, and between colic and postpartum depression, the struggles of adjusting to a new family structure and affording to live while being unable to work during recovery, and a very welcome but still challenging return to my career, that hiatus continued on much longer than I’d have liked.
It gave me some time to think about the direction I want to take my work, however.
I will be continuing to focus on my original designs (while keeping my favorite designers around for the fun prints) and will stop taking custom orders or doing consignment. I simply don’t have the time or the setup, and I end up over-promising and under-delivering. I also have two new projects in the works.
The first to drop will be a pivot back to my roots: creating cookie cutters and baking supplies. I deeply enjoyed the connections I made in the community and hope to fill a need for all of the talented cookiers in the Grand Strand area.
The second is something I’ll be keeping close to the vest until I have more of the initial models designed. It’s incredibly ambitious, but I’m dedicated to the underlying goal and will be carving out some of my now very precious time to develop it.
I will still be releasing designs under Moore Family 3D, but I’m not returning to a subscription model and releases will be sparse and very much unplanned. I do have some ideas on the backburner though, so don’t give up on me completely.
Pic of the last thing I designed because it was weird but it ended up working and I was proud of it. Shout out to my kid’s art studio, who printed it on the printer I donated to them because I forgot to include the flash drive and that was the only thing in the recent files 🤪
