Hertford County Middle School is excited to welcome our scholars and families to our 2026–2027 SEL Event:

This is more than an Open House! Scholars and parents will participate in an engaging **Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) experience** designed to help our scholars start the new year with the mindset and skills they need to be successful.

Introducing the 2026-2027 HCMS Cheerleading Team 💛📣💙

What an incredible day for our girls! 🎉🍉
Today marked our debut performance at the NC Watermelon Festival parade, and these athletes absolutely shined! We couldn't be prouder of the hard work, dedication, and heart they brought. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to see what this amazing team accomplishes this season!

A huge THANK YOU to the Murfreesboro community for your overwhelming support during our car wash fundraiser. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much to our team and help make opportunities like today possible.

Wrap up your NC Watermelon Festival experience with a sparkling clean vehicle while supporting a great cause!
Join us for the HCMS Cheer Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM at Advance Auto Parts in Murfreesboro, immediately following the NC Watermelon Festival Parade!
Bring your cars, trucks, and SUVs, and let our HCMS Cheerleaders get them shining while you help support our cheer program. Every wash and every donation helps our team continue to grow and succeed!

We’re excited to announce that HCMS Cheerleading is partnering with the Town of Murfreesboro for an exciting Cheer Camp! Get ready for an afternoon full of spirit, fun, learning, and cheer energy! 💙💛
📅 Date: July 11, 2026
⏰ Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: HCMS Gym
Ages: 8-13
Come learn cheers, motions, jumps, teamwork, and bring your school spirit! Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills or just have fun, this camp is for YOU! 🎉📣
