There’s a certain kind of weight that comes with transition… not the kind you lift in the gym, but the kind you carry in silence. The kind that hits when the familiar starts slipping away, and the new hasn’t fully revealed itself yet.

This season has a way of shaking everything. You start losing people you never thought you’d lose. Friends who once felt like family… family who you thought would never turn their back. It hurts. It’s heavy. But sometimes God allows certain people to fall away because they can’t go where He’s taking you.

It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s lonely at times. But this is where God shows up the loudest, in the middle of the unknown.

This season isn’t about clinging to what was… it’s about making room for what will be. God doesn’t remove without replacing. He doesn’t close a chapter without already writing the next. And even when it doesn’t make sense, I know it’s working for my good.

I may not have all the answers, but I trust the One who does. This is my new thing. This is my becoming. 🫶🏼🦋✨

Sometimes it’s realizing that what you’re building in the gym is the same thing God is building in your spirit: discipline, patience, and faith.

There comes a point where you have to stop saying you want change and start living like you actually do. Year after year, I told myself this would be the time. This would be the year I finally changed my habits, my mindset, my body, my life. But deep down, I knew I was still surrounding myself with things that kept me the same...

I said I wanted peace, but I kept feeding my spirit negativity. I said I wanted better, but I kept making excuses. I said I was tired of being stuck, yet I stayed comfortable in the same cycles.

The truth is, you can’t pray for new results while holding onto old habits. You can’t ask God to change your life while refusing to change your environment. And you can’t keep blaming everyone else when the real battle is within you.

The gym taught me that discipline is built on the days I don’t feel like showing up. Faith taught me that obedience matters more than motivation. And life taught me that if you don’t control your environment, your environment will control you.

I had to stop feeding my mind junk, stop hanging around draining people, stop filling my ears with sadness, and start putting life back into my body, spirit, and routine. Because I can’t become who God called me to be if I keep living like the version He’s trying to pull me out of.

Change isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable. It’s lonely. It’s stretching. But it’s worth it because every time I choose growth over comfort, I feel myself getting closer to who I’m meant to be.

So yeah, I’m done talking about

Understand this: I’m not where I want to be… but I thank God every single day that I’m not where I used to be!

This journey hasn’t been easy. There were days I felt stuck, defeated, and ready to quit. But God kept reminding me that progress doesn’t always look like a big leap, sometimes it’s just the strength to keep showing up.

The girl I used to be was battling things in silence… Insecurity, doubt, old habits, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and pain she didn’t talk about…. The woman I’m becoming is learning to fight differently… through prayer, through discipline, through peace.

I thank God for growth that can’t be seen on the scale. Growth in my faith. Growth in my mindset. Growth in the way I show up for those who show up for me. Growth in the way I carry myself and the way I refuse to settle.

Every rep, every workout, every therapy session, every prayer, every church sermon, every small step forward… it’s all a reflection of His grace over my life. I’m not perfect, but I’m being refined. And that’s something I’ll forever be grateful for.

So no, I’m not where I want to be… but I’m walking with God, and that means I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. 🙏🏼🦋✨

Right now my focus is locked in: God, goals, and gains. That’s it.

I’m not on this journey to prove a point to anyone else. I’m not here to win approval, attention, or validation. I’m here because I made a promise to myself and to God that I would show up, grow, and keep pushing until I see the fruit of the seeds I’ve been planting.

The old me needed people’s opinions to feel worthy. The healed me knows my worth comes from God alone. The gym became my outlet, therapy taught me to face my shadows, and faith taught me to rise above them. I don’t need to move for anybody else. I’m moving because I refuse to stay stuck in the same place I once was.

So yeah, talk if you want, think what you want. At the end of the day, my growth isn’t for the crowd. It’s for me, my healing, and the future I’m building. And that will always be enough. 🦋✨🙏🏼

Everything starts in the mind. The body follows wherever the mind leads. For years I kept replaying the same thoughts, believing the same stories, and without even realizing it, living in the same cycles. It wasn’t until I shifted my mindset that I started to shift my life.

The gym taught me that if I want a different result, I can’t just wish for it. I have to think differently, act differently, and believe differently. Therapy helped me rewire the old patterns that told me I wasn’t enough. And God reminded me that my mind has power when it’s aligned with His word.

Change doesn’t happen because we hope it will. Change happens when we decide to no longer let the old beliefs run the show. The life I’m building now started the day I chose to change my mind.
