And with it, these boys finished the 2026 season as the…
🇺🇸⚾ #1 GRAND SLAM 7U TEAM IN THE COUNTRY! ⚾🇺🇸

Let that sink in for a minute. NUMBER ONE. ☝️🏆
What started as a group of young boys learning the game became a TEAM. They practiced together, traveled together, won together, lost together, celebrated together and learned how to battle through adversity together.
There were trophies. 🏆
There were walk-offs. 🔥
There were tough losses.
There were HUGE wins. 💪
There were memories these boys will carry with them for a long, long time.
But the greatest accomplishment isn't sitting in that trophy case.
It's watching how much these boys grew — as baseball players, teammates and young men. 💙💛
And through every tournament, our mission stayed the same:

💙 Develop good young men.
⚾ Grow in the game of baseball.

⚾💙💛 A LOT TO BE PROUD OF TODAY, CHIEFS NATION! 💛💙⚾
The day may not have ended exactly how we wanted, but when we look at the big picture, there was A LOT of good baseball played today! 🔥

We battled through pool play and earned the #1 SEED heading into bracket play. When bracket play came around, the sticks got a little cold and we weren't able to capitalize on some prime opportunities. Our boys still battled all the way into extra innings before a double play ended our run.
That's tournament baseball. Sometimes it just doesn't fall your way.
But let's talk about the POSITIVES, because there were some BIG ones! 👀🔥
💣 Our FIRST over-the-fence home run in Chiefs Nation 8U history! Mason "The Anchor" Whitby #24 officially left the yard!

✈️ SEVEN DIFFERENT CHIEFS caught fly balls in the outfield — and several caught MULTIPLE! This is something we've put a major emphasis on in practice, and seeing that work translate directly to the field was HUGE. That is REAL DEVELOPMENT! 📈⚾

🥇 Earned the #1 seed after pool play.
💪 And most importantly, our boys competed, had fun, supported each other, and showed us just how much they're improving.

Do we have things to clean up? Absolutely. That's why we practice. That's why we coach. And that's why we play these tournaments.
But today wasn't a bad day because we didn't bring home a trophy. Today was a GREAT day of baseball with some major milestones and visible growth.
We're proud of these boys and incredibly excited about what we're seeing. Keep stacking days. Keep learning. Keep growing. 💙💛

MASON “THE ANCHOR” WHITBY #24 JUST LEFT THE YARD! 💪🔥
For the FIRST time since our team originated one of our boys sent one OVER THE FENCE — and it belongs to #24! 🏆⚾
And he wasn’t done threatening the fence either! Mason absolutely smoked another one that came INCHES from being his second, catching the very top of the fence! 😳💥

As coaches, these are the moments that make you PROUD. Not just because the ball went over the fence, but because we know the work these boys put in behind the scenes. Watching that work turn into moments like this — and seeing his teammates celebrate with him — is what youth baseball is all about. 💙💛

Breelynn is Cooper’s big sister, and if she’s not out there absolutely crushing it at one of her own dance competitions 💃🏆, you can usually find her at the ballpark cheering on Cooper and the rest of our Chiefs! ⚾📣💙💛

⚾💙💛 GROWTH DOESN’T ALWAYS SHOW UP IN THE WIN COLUMN. 💛💙⚾

Yesterday didn’t turn out quite like we hoped, but that’s baseball — and that’s development.

We finished the day 1–2, but the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story.

This was our first tournament of the new season, and it gave us exactly what we needed: an opportunity to compete, move some boys around to different positions, try some new things, and find out what we need to clean up moving forward. ⚾💪

There were good plays. There were mistakes. There were big smiles. There were teaching moments. And most importantly, there was growth.

At this age, winning is fun — and make no mistake, we want to win — but we're building something bigger than one Saturday's record.

Our job as coaches is to keep developing these boys, put them in situations that challenge them, and teach them how to respond when things don't go their way.

You either win or you learn — and yesterday, we did both. 📚⚾

We know what needs work. Now we get back to practice, clean it up, and keep building.

And through all of it, these boys got to spend another Saturday playing the game they love with their buddies. Never lose sight of how special that is. 💙💛

🧱 And as we promised, Brick was with us all day. We continue to play, pray, and fight for our #11.

One tournament doesn't define us. It's just another brick in what we're building. 🧱
