Picked up a new chassis Saturday morning in KC and somehow had it at the track and racing Saturday afternoon! 😂
I’m probably known for running crappy bodies by now; so it fits right in!

The new chassis handled GREAT right out of the box. Unfortunately, our night ended with a DNF after we lost a clip on the clutch. Definitely not the finish we wanted, but I’m really happy with how the new kart felt!

And once again, PDQ Powered Engines are dominating at Sunset! 🏁

I was able to snag a win in Open at Sunset today! 🏁

But the best part was having the two best girls by my side supporting me every step of the way. Forever grateful for them. ❤️

We also had a TON of customers out racing today, and it was awesome to see the support!

PSA: Your Air Filter Could Be killing Your Engine 🏁

Dusty track? Your air filter setup matters A LOT.

On dusty tracks, you need to properly oil both the air filter AND the foam outerwear. The outerwear is your first line of defense against the fine dust that can make its way toward the engine.

Thin outerwears are perfectly fine when there is little to no dust. But when the track gets dusty, we strongly recommend using a proper foam outerwear. Thin outerwears simply aren’t what we want to see being used in heavy dust.

If you see ANY dirt inside the intake—even a little bit—you’re already getting dirt past the filter. Add more oil and/or change the filter more frequently.

We recommend using a quality fabric filter oil, such as KLOTZ.

Remember: Nothing kills an engine faster than ingesting dirt.

Keep your filter clean. Keep it properly oiled. Check it often.

A few minutes of maintenance can save an entire engine. 🔧🏁

PSA: Know Your CHT! 🌡️

We’ve realized that a lot of customers may not be familiar with CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) and how important it is when running an engine.

We send our engines out with the shroud taped, and we provide notes with the engine stating the maximum recommended temperature. The tape is there for a reason, but it also means you need to be monitoring CHT.

If you do not have a CHT gauge, running an engine with the shroud taped shut on a 100°+ day can lead to the engine getting dangerously hot.

If you don’t have a CHT gauge, UNTAPE THE ENGINE.

It’s much better to run a little cooler than to overheat an engine and potentially ruin a race day or an engine.

We want everyone to get the most out of their engines, so please pay attention to CHT and the conditions you’re racing in. 🏁

What a great weekend for PDQ Powered Engines!

We picked up several wins at Sunset Speedway and Lil 81 Speedway this weekend. We had some customers make up some serious ground as well, we love to see them keep improving.
