Edmonds Summer Ultimate

Hello friends! It almost June and you know what that means...Edmonds Summer Ultimate is back!

This year will be a bit more fluid in terms of location due to the ongoing ecological work happening at Ballinger Park but here are the broad details covering the initial weeks:

WHO? Edmonds Summer Ultimate!
WHEN? Wednesdays! 6:30p until dark/too many people go home
WHERE? Ballinger Playfield (until the construction moves us elsewhere -- timeline TBD)
HOW MUCH? No payment is required but donations towards the field fund are greatly appreciated. For every $20 that you donate, we'll give you something out of our "box of swag"

We're also looking for anyone that might be interested in helping out with future operational responsibilities (e.g. attending the annual field rental meeting, bringing equipment/starting games, collecting donations, etc.). If that sounds like you, send us a message or find one of us at the fields and start a chat.

The first pickup will be on 6/7 and we'll create an event for it shortly. Hope to see you soon and chase some plastic!

Hello! We would like to (FINALLY) announce that Edmonds Summer Ultimate 2022 is officially starting June 1st (THIS WEDNESDAY) at the Ballinger Playfield!

We would appreciate all participants registering on the DiscNW event page ( https://www.discnw.org/e/2022-edmonds-summer-ultimate-pickup ), which also has all of the pertinent operation details. Be sure to reach out on the group page if you have any questions or need any help. We hope that we'll see you soon!

Oh no. Here we go again...

Hello! It's been a while!

We apologize for the delay in making this announcement but we wanted to let everyone know that Edmonds Summer Ultimate is (regretfully) not going to host pickup activities in 2021. Though current conditions seem to be on a positive trajectory, the final decision had to be made under different circumstances months ago, though we're hopeful that we'll be able to get back into the swing of things for 2022.

There is good news, though! DiscNW recently announced that they will be resuming recreational play in July ( https://www.discnw.org/adult-ultimate ) so there are options available for those interested in structured plastic-chasing in the near-future. In addition, everyone is welcome to use our Edmonds Summer Ultimate group to organize less formal meet-ups (adhering to all applicable safety precautions, of course) if you just want to throw around, can't commit to one of DiscNW options, and/or just want to see some familiar faces.

You're all awesome and we can't wait to see you all again. Please take care of yourselves and each other!

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out to any of our virtual sessions this year. It was great to see you and we hope that everything works out such that we'll all be at the fields next summer to run around and chase some plastic. Until then, the plan is to set up seasonal virtual check-ins (in the same spirit of the "planning committee" meetings of yore) so that we can stay connected, sharpen our heckling skills, and get excited for the future.
