In Kabbalah, we are not shown the wrong people by accident.
We are shown them so we can learn discernment.
Before the soulmate can stay, the soul must learn what love is not.
Every relationship that hurt was not a failure. It was training. Each one revealed where love was confused with attachment, intensity, tolerance, or self abandonment. Without those experiences, we would not recognize love when it arrives, and more importantly, we would not know how to hold it.
The Light does not bring the forever person into a vessel that still confuses love with effort or fear. First, the false versions must be exposed. Not to punish us, but to refine us.
What we call heartbreak is often the moment when illusion collapses. And illusion must collapse before real love can enter.
By the time the soulmate arrives, the work is already done.
We no longer chase, overgive, or negotiate our truth.
We know how to keep them because we no longer abandon ourselves.
Love does not stay because we try harder.
It stays because we have learned who we are, what love is, and what it is not.
