As the head coach, I’m beyond grateful for the incredible staff helping make this season and our program truly successful. These coaches bring commitment, dedication, effort, attitude, toughness, and elite-level passion every single day!

We’ve put in hard work so far, and I know we’ll keep pushing even harder in the upcoming season. Big shoutout to my crew for their unwavering support. We are going to build something special. Kickoff In 151 Days!

Say hello to your new JV Head coach and Special Teams Coordinator for the Mountain Home Idaho High School Football Program!!

I am so blessed and humbled to have this opportunity!! A little over a year ago I never would have never thought I would have been in this situation. Taking the “working” route the time has never been there. I have always wanted to, having 4 kiddos and all. But a little over a year ago I didn’t know if I would have even been capable, strong enough, to do anything really. Getting diagnosed with Stage 3 metastatic melanoma was a weight, a shock and life changing news. Going from athlete/plumber to not being able to function because of pain and symptoms crushed me. Mentally it broke me in ways. The same way sports test you mentally. Yet here I am. From having 6 tumors in my right auxiliary to none. Having overcome adversity. Pushed through pain. Sickness. That is what not only life experiences, but sports have taught me over the years. From the coaches that pushed me, saw that drive. My Family. I say thank you.

What bitter sweet feelings the end of the season hold…..I am so grateful first off to have gotten this opportunity. Those boys worked all season and the 9-3 record shows it!! I am so proud of those boys and everything they accomplished over the season. Proud father and coach. One town, One team!! Go Tigers!! ……..

Sooooooooooo this happened tonight….Proud father. Proud coach. So ecstatic and proud of my team tonight!! First game as head coach, only 10 practices to get 14 young men ready to play as a TEAM…..definitely stuff to build on……BUT they came together, dug deep and stayed disciplined………and pulled out the win!!!! 19-17!!!!!! As a coach, that’s what we strive for. To see the players you give, you teach, you coach, to have that aha moment, do what you have coached them to do and FEEL that accomplishment you’ve been trying to show them. What a blessing.

Not only Football and Kicking, but basketball as well. Say Hello to Coach Byers, Head coach of Your Mountain Home Junior High Boys Basketball “B” Team!!………soooooooooo EXCITED!!!! I have many years Basketball experience and excited to share that knowledge with this 8th grade team!! Come Out to a game!! Come say HI!!……..To me, coaching is coaching. THE GOAL. Teach the younger generations the knowledge you have gained so they can not only carry that knowledge on, but adapt and perfect it in THEIR own way.
