43 student-athletes took to the fields this weekend representing Mount Vernon, and what a showing it was. These Lady Jackets have made tremendous strides throughout the season, and it’s been incredible to watch their growth, effort, and commitment to the game the combined record on the weekend was 10-5-1.
To our volunteer coaches—thank you. Your time, energy, and dedication made it possible to field four teams this season. That doesn’t happen without you, and these girls are better because of it.
A big shoutout as well to the Mount Vernon Rec program. Having 20 sixth graders come out this year—all with a solid foundation in softball—speaks volumes about the rec program. You girls are just getting started, and you’re building that legacy that will continue to grow all the way into high school.
And thank you to Ryan Pentz for your continued support and for making time for these athletes. It truly makes a difference.
