If you're not in God's best, you can't claim God's best. If you're not in God's perfect will, you can't claim His perfect provision. We need to know that and find our place.

Understanding the Necessity and Role of the Holy Spirit in a Victorious Christian Life by Dr. Stanley

Many Christians go through life without ever truly grasping the vital role of the Holy Spirit in their spiritual journey. The Holy Spirit isn't just an impersonal force; He is a divine person who empowers us to resist sin, obey God, and experience the fullness of life that Christ promises. As Romans 8:14 says, "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." When we yield to His guidance and rely on Him completely, our lives are transformed into a powerful testimony of God's love and grace.

Should I give my whole first month’s salary to my church as ‘first-fruit’?
by Pastor Bankie

Give honour to the Lord with your wealth, and with the first-fruits of all your increase: So your store-houses will be full of grain, and your vessels overflowing with new wine. Pro 3:9-10 BBE

Should I give my whole first month’s salary to my church as ‘first-fruit’?

Usually when I am asked this question, my answer is straightforward. “It is your money and you can do anything you like with it.” I mean that simply!

Now, if the question is “did the Lord command that Christians should surrender their whole January salary (income) to their church as first-fruits?” Then I give another unequivocal answer: No, He never did. There is no such thing in the whole Bible, not even under the Law of Moses. Yes, many churches ask their members to do it, but it is a decision of the elders of the church and is not the commandment of God or the Lord Jesus to Christians. God doesn’t have any special blessings attached to it, and so I hope the elders can pray a special blessing for the people who obey them. My personal advice to anyone asking is this: if you consider it burdensome and so would be grudgingly doing it, then please do not do it. Don’t worry, the Lord is not angry with you, He didn’t command it in the first place. Anything you give to Him from your heart, willingly and by faith, is good enough for Him.

Having said that, let me quickly clarify the practice of first-fruits as it was in the Bible. First, bear in mind that every occurrence of the term in the New Testament relates to Christ Jesus and His saints. Both Jesus Christ and saints in churches were referred to as the first fruits offered to God. There was never a time it referred to money, income or material things. What the New Testament always teaches about money and material things is generosity and not trusting in those things. We are to be careful to trust in God alone. Every Christian must be generous continuously and make giving priority in their lives. In what the Lord gives to us, seed for sowing is before bread for eating (2 Cor 9:10). That tells us that we must give as a matter of priority.

Friends,

I'm so thankful for each and every one of you who has chosen to follow this page. Reaching 1000 followers is an amazing milestone, and it's all because of your support.

As it says in Psalm 133, how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! You all are demonstrating the power of coming together in Christ.

My goal and prayer is that through this page we can spread the good news of God's love to the ends of the earth. As Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

There is still so much work to be done to reach those who need to hear the Gospel. With your help, I believe we can meet our goal of 10,000 followers by the end of October. Just think of the impact we can have!

May God continue to bless you and keep you. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I'm so grateful for this online community. Let's keep spreading the Word!
