Yesterday was a day full of learning! 🥎💪

We may not have won a single game, but if you only look at the scoreboard, you missed what really happened on the field.

These girls learned A LOT yesterday. We turned a double play, came up with some big hits when we needed them, and our pitchers and catchers absolutely stepped up. Our attempted pickoffs looked great, and one of the biggest improvements we saw was in our base running. With each game, the girls got more aggressive, made better decisions, and became more confident on the bases. It was awesome to watch that improvement happen throughout the day.

Were there mistakes? Absolutely. But that's what these games are for. We're learning how to compete, how to handle adversity, how to make adjustments, and how to trust the work we're putting in.

Every inning, every at-bat, every pitch, and every play gives these girls another opportunity to get better. And that's exactly what we're going to do! Learn, work, and come back better.

We're proud of this group and excited to see what they do next. The wins will come. For now, we're focused on the growth.

What a day!

Yesterday, we started the morning with rain, finished in some serious Carolina humidity, and through it all, six teams came together with one goal in mind, experience. Yesterday wasn't about championships or trophies. It was about getting on the field, competing, shaking off the offseason, and helping these young athletes prepare for the season ahead.

A huge thank you to our incredible concession stand crew and grounds crew, who gave up their day to make this event possible. From preparing the fields to serving an amazing selection of breakfast and lunch items, your hard work did not go unnoticed. Everything ran smoothly because of your dedication, and we truly appreciate each of you.

To our umpires!!! Thank you for keeping the games moving while bringing plenty of laughs along the way. The dance moves, the humor, and even the unforgettable moment when one of you "went blind" and needed a guide cane to kick off a game had everyone smiling. Thank you for reminding us that the game is supposed to be fun.

A very special thank you goes to Coach Jacob Barrier for organizing this entire event. Coordinating six teams, schedules, fields, officials, and all of the moving pieces is no small task. Your time, leadership, and commitment to creating an opportunity for these girls to play and grow are greatly appreciated.

Finally, thank you to every coach, player, and family who came out with the right mindset. The sportsmanship, encouragement, and support shown throughout the day were exactly what youth softball should be about. Days like this remind us that this game is about so much more than wins and losses. It's about building confidence, learning from every opportunity, creating lasting friendships, and growing a lifelong love for softball.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first 10U Scrimmage Tournament such a success. We wish all six teams a healthy, fun, and successful season. We hope to see you all again soon!
