Safety & Informational Meeting

❓ What: Informational meeting about Sh***un and R***e teams. Mandatory safety meeting for those who sign up (you will be unable to practice until necessary paperwork and safety meeting has been completed). We are currently seeking volunteers and coaches. If you’re interested or just want to know more, please come join us!

If you are like us and you CAN’T WAIT for the first practice of the new season… we have our shooting bags packed, guns in their travel cases, and here soon, our vehicles loaded down and headed to the range! If you’re new here, or the Texas summer heat has your brain on SOS, keep in mind there is a few things that should be on your checklist!

With the start of a new school year, now is also the time to think about enrolling in 4-H and becoming a part of the 4-H Shooting Sports project.

4-H provides youth ages 8-18 with opportunities to explore their interests, gain new skills, and grow as individuals.

For more information about getting involved as a participant or volunteer, please reach out to your local extension office.

‼️ Attention youth and parents ‼️

Custom hearing protection is a great investment to have in shooting sports. They are secure, comfortable and block out more noise than disposable ear plugs.

If you are currently a member, volunteer or interested in joining this year (or even if you aren’t but are around loud environments, like hunting), take the time to come out and look. A few of our kids have them and they say it makes all the difference in the world. They last a lifetime, one of our volunteers has had the same pair from when she did shooting sports 16 years ago!! Let that speak for itself. Discounts are also offered for 4H!

September 12th, Sound Guard will be back at Clays -N-More Gun Club. Come and get your custom molded to your ears ear plugs.
Same day as the Hopes Ministries Sporting Clay Shoot.
Make plans to come!

Registration is open!

Reminder that all 4-H members and volunteers must re-enroll each year. Families will create a new account then enter the members who wish to enroll. Please reach out if you need assistance or have any questions.

$25 per 4-H Member (if enrolled before 11/1)
$30 per 4-H Member (if enrolled 11/1 and after)
$10 per adult volunteer

26-27 season is kicking off soon!! A quick run down of the two disciplines we currently offer and their events in each.

💥 SHOTGUN💥
For those who like to yell & break things!

☄️ S***t -targets launch from two towers that cross paths around a semi circle of stations. Fast paced, reflex oriented, & highly addictive.

💨 Trap -stations set behind a single machine launching targets away from you at various angles. Focus, track, bang!

⛳️ Sporting Clays -like golf but with guns! Various “hunting like” shots spread over a 10 station shooting course. The ultimate test of adaptation.

🧨 Whizbang or 5 Stand -a condensed version of sporting clays. 5 side by side stations of target changing combinations. Quick thinking, high energy in a shortened game.

🎯 SMALLBORE R***E 🎯
For those who prefer things more slow and steady!

🧘3 Position R***e -the goal, a bullseye on each of the paper targets! Test your patience, control and precision within 3 different shooting positions.

Certified coaches teach safety first while helping kids develop various skills, responsibility and confidence that go far past the gun range.
