Our local Troop 27 in Mt. Healthy, formerly known as Boy Scouts, now accepts girls and identifying otherwise.
We are recruiting both boys and girls. We need kids to keep our troop going. My daughter is a member. We are very active in camping, kayaking, caving, and much more. We just got back from a caving trip in Kentucky, next trip in April is hiking in Red River Gorge. Summer trip is a week-long trip in North Carolina.
Boys and girls and otherwise identifying age 10-11 and up are welcome. A bit younger could also be accepted depending on the activities.
We run the MTH haunted hall and the kids running it get a generous Scout account to buy their own camping equipment. It’s really a great group. We really need girls specifically because to accept girls, there needs to be five active. We have three. And also maybe a mom who wants to be in on the camping trips.
A female adult has to be a part of the camping trips in order for the female scouts to attend the overnights. I’ve been chaperoning as the female adult but we could use some adult females who enjoy camping to help supervise. Background check required, but all the things really are fun and super laid back.

Hey all, three weeks ago I found a bunny on a hiking trail. I took her home thinking I would find the owner and then after a few days realized she had probably been dropped off. Three days after I found her she gave birth to 7 baby bunnies. I’m looking to rehome them all. As I have a large dog and predatory cat. The momma is super sweet and just a great bunny. Message me if you’re interested. The black one is the momma. I have know idea what kind of rabbits these are. We are located in Cincinnati.

It’s with a lot of sadness that the board has decided NOT to hold any formal co-op “offerings” for at least the rest of the 2020 school year. We know every family is trying to figure out their new normal, and the board families are no different. As a co-op, we have purchased the use of Zoom for this year, for anyone in our co-op family who may like to offer some online “connection” - it could be as simple as a one time on-line meet up to more regularly scheduled story times, or show-and-tells, to meeting online to discuss a curriculum that others in our group are also using, to an online “happy hour” for parents to check in with each other. Join our private group to follow us for online offerings and for more plans for the 2020-2021 school year. As always, we are a family and would love to help support you through this crazy time. We look forward to a day when we can safely meet back at the church.

We belive it takes a Village!

Welcome to Village Roots Homeschool Co-op, located Mt. Healthy OH! Our co-op currently meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in September and running until the final week in May, with additional summer options and themed parties throughout the year. We are a child/family led co-op which means we empower our children to play a large role in determining the "classes" that we offer throughout the year. All ages are always welcome. We currently have families with children 12 and younger, with a heavy concentration of kids ages 3-9. All Village Roots Homeschool families are committed to seeing our co-op thrive, and help it to be the success it is by being involved. We are made up of a variety of families with various learning and teaching styles, but see our co-op as a relaxed homeschool, and sometimes unschool environment. We are a judgement-free zone, and understand that we are all doing the best that we can with the tools that we have. We come together to build each other up, provide support and encourage our children and each other as teachers. We hope you will join us!
