And that is a wrap from Lake Shelbyville, folks!
Our anglers had a great second day, weighing in a five-fish bag of 11 lbs 1 oz, to finish with a two-day total of 19 lbs 6 oz! 🙌
This is a huge improvement over our performance last year, when our two-day total came to just 8 lbs 2 oz. 😳
A massive difference that can be attributed to a good week of pre-fishing, learning on the water and not giving up when fishing got tough! 💪
For anglers whose usual hunting ground is the good old Mississippi River, coming to a massive impoundment like Lake Shelbyville is not easy. The techniques and structure are quite different and take some getting used to.
Coach Larry, Roscoe and Lucas did a wonderful job! Congratulations, gentlemen! 🥇💥
We will update with final standings once the official results are available, but we are hoping for a finish in the top 30. 🤞
While we are celebrating our strong performance at Lake Shelbyville, our thoughts are also with the Schoenhaar family and our West Carroll community on what is a very sad day.
