It's hard to believe but the season has come to an end thanks to mother nature! We were able to get in our 2 pool play games at the Howard County Sizzler tournament yesterday before the skies opened up and soaked the fields leading to today's bracket play being canceled. Certainly not the way we expected things to come to an end but you have to roll with the punches. Next we're on to tryouts this week!

Defensive MVP - Congrats to Evyn for an overall solid day behind the plate and letting very few balls past her minimizing free bases!

Offensive MVP - Congrats to Amy for going 1-1 with a single, a walk, and a run scored!

Game 2

Defensive MVP - Congrats to Kelsey for pitching a strong game finishing with 4 K's, 5 hits, and 2 walks, giving up just 2 earned runs!

We've had a busy couple weeks since our last post! 7 games total, most in sweltering heat, but we persevered. Day 2 of the CML tournament coming up tomorrow and looking forward to continued competitive games from teams in the area!

Defensive MVP - Congrats to Taylor for having another solid game at SS with multiple put-outs!

Offensive MVP - Congrats to Kelsey for hitting a double and reaching base every at bat!

Game 2
Defensive MVP - Congrats to Amy for catching a well hit fly ball to CF saving multiple runs!

Offensive MVP - Congrats to Kenzi for laying down a perfect bunt for an infield single and going 2-3 on the day!

Game 3
Defensive MVP - Congrats to Kinsey for throwing a runner out at second base!

Offensive MVP - Congrats to Amy for going 1-1 with a solid RBI single!

Game 4
Defensive MVP - This one went to our catcher's collectively for an overall solid 2 games in high heat!

It was a beautiful day for some softball! We played two hard fought games today and came away with a split. Game 1 saw a back and forth game with solid pitching that went against us in the bottom of the final inning. We bounced back in game 2 with some exceptional defensive plays and excellent pitching, holding our opponents to 2 hits, striking out 3, and only surrendering 1 walk. The girls are continuing to improve week to week and having fun along the way!

Game 1 Offensive- Congratulations to Kora smashing a stand up double to left center field!

Game 2 Offensive- Congratulations to Riley for putting the ball in play multiple times today and safely reaching base 3 out of 5 times!

Game 2 Defensive- Congratulations to Allison for a fantastic snag of a line drive at short stop and a heads up play to throw to first to double up the runner!

Defensive Player Game 1- Congratulations to Aubrey for making all 3 outs in a single inning! A rare feat!

Defensive Player Game 2- Congratulations to Kora for pitching a solid game with 2 strikeouts!

Offensive Player Game 2- Congratulations to Addi for going 2 for 2 at the plate including a line drive back up the middle in the top of the first inning!
