🌞 ECC Ladies Golf Association Recap – August 12, 2025
The Egyptian Country Club’s Ladies Golf Association gathered on Tuesday, August 12th for a spirited morning round of golf, followed by a delicious lunch and a brief business meeting. Despite the unmistakable heat of the dog days of August, nine dedicated ladies took to the course with enthusiasm and resilience.
We were especially delighted to welcome back Rome, whose presence was missed in recent outings. Her return added a joyful note to the day.

⛳ Team Lineup & Format of Play:
• Team #1: Debo, Karen, Jennifer + Ms. Ghost
• Team #2: Minta, Rome, Terri + Ms. Ghost
• Team #3: Elaine, Morrissa, Debbie, Teresa
The play of the day featured a twist: throw out hole #5 and pay for low score and high putts.
🏆 Game Highlights:
• Low Score Winners: Minta, Rome, and Terri
• High Putt Winners: Karen, Debo, and Jennifer
• Chip-In Pot: Minta broke the dry spell and claimed the pot after several months!
• Door Prize: Debo
• 50/50 Winner: Elaine

🍽️ Lunch Menu:
Alda and Teresa treated everyone to a comforting spread of meatloaf, creamed potatoes, rolls and salad. Dessert was a decadent duo: Caramel Butter Pecan Cake and Chocolate Lush—pure indulgence!

📝 Business Meeting:
With President Alda absent, Morrissa graciously stepped in to lead the meeting. Discussions included preparations for the upcoming Harvest and September events:
• The Kahuna
• IMPACT
• Egyptian School Golf Team Fundraiser
Additionally, the date for the much-anticipated Black & White Affair was confirmed: November 1, 2025.

☀️ Ladies Golf Association – July 22nd Recap

Despite the sweltering heat on Tuesday, July 22nd, twelve dedicated ladies braved the sun for a spirited round of golf. With three foursomes on the course, play was streamlined using the senior lady tees and a two-putt rule. No ghosts were needed today—and likely weren’t missed in the heat!

🍽️ Post-Golf Luncheon
Hostesses Joy and Karen treated everyone to a refreshing cold plate lunch featuring:
- Chicken salad on croissants
- Potato salad and pasta salad
- Cheesecake topped with blueberries and strawberries

📝 Business Meeting Notes
Following lunch, a brief meeting was held:
- Final plans were made for the upcoming Harvest Tournament, including Saturday’s dinner and Sunday’s appetizers
- Updates were shared on the new air conditioners
- Whaooette Day was discussed, with the theme chosen as “Favorite Decade” and the format set as a Par 3

We were delighted to welcome guest golfer Ashton Dillow, who shared that she thoroughly enjoyed her first Ladies Day experience.

LADIES! It is time to get our golf on!! If you are not already a member of the Egyptian Ladies Golf Association, please plan to join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month for Ladies Day Golf! It is a fun day of golf, fellowship, and food! The first golf day will be Tuesday, May 13th with tee off at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be hosted by the LGA officers after play. Hope to see you there!!
