Sauter Race Recap 🏁
We knew from the start it was going to be a fight. 32 trucks showed up chasing 24 spots in the feature, and there was zero room for error.
We unloaded a very good truck, putting down the 15th-fastest time in the first practice. Unfortunately, the track changed and the truck got way too tight in qualifying, putting us 27th on the board and behind the eight ball.
We went after it in the first heat and made a big swing. The truck came around, but we went a little too far and ended up on the loose side. We couldn’t make the progress we needed.
One more adjustment for the LCQ and the truck was hooked up. We were fast but needed to pass one more truck to grab a provisional transfer spot, we simply ran out of laps.
We’re disappointed about missing the show knowing we had a good truck — there’s no way around that. But we also know what we had underneath us. We were good all day; we just didn’t get it right in qualifying, when it mattered most.
That’s racing. You win some, you lose some, and you learn from all of them. We’ll take the positives and come back swinging.
We’ve got more in the tank. 🏁💪
Huge thank you to the entire crew for your hard work. We cannot do this without you. Major shoutout to to Craig Schroeder making the call on the radio that kept us safe when they wrecked in front of us.
Please support our amazing sponsors and be sure to thank them for helping to keep short track racing alive and well.
