Varsity Potters defeat LaSalle-Peru 7-2. Camden Taylor was the winning pitcher throwing 5 innings with 5 K’s allowing just 1 hit and 0 runs. Two RBIs each for Sage Lelm and Cam Crawford.

Sophomores defeat LaSalle-Peru 19-7. Tanner Naas lead the team offensively, driving in 5 runs on 4 hits. Tarter, Vallar, Hart, and Cowley with 2 hits each. 5 different pitchers each pitched one inning, allowing 7 runs on 3 hits.

Freshman fall to the Cavaliers 4-3. DePinto, Westbrook, Parrott, and Hilt each with a hit. Miller pitched a strong 6 innings, striking out 10, while allowing 4 runs on 5 hits.

Recap from Monday, in which all three levels secured wins!

Varsity:
Potters defeat Canton 8-1 to open Mid-Illini play. Collin Burns gets the win on the mound going five innings and recording 6 strikeouts, allowing 1 run and just 2 hits. Cam Crawford and Hudson Lovell each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Bek Powers had 2 hits, scored 2 runs, and had an RBI.

JV:
JV Potters won 13-0 vs Brimfield JV on Monday. Hoyland w/ 2 hits. Nestrud and Couri had 2-RBI single each. Bottom of the order putting in work scoring 9 runs from 6-9 spots. Great pitching from Vallar (2IP, 2Ks), Tarter (2IP, 3Ks), and Fisher (1IP, 2Ks). No walks given up.

Freshmen:
Freshman Potters pick up first win of the year against Canton 8-2 behind great pitching from Benson Westbrook going 4.1 giving up only 1 hit striking out 7. Titus Bryant great in relief. Tripp Davis 2-3 with 3 rbis. Cole Rudd & Blake McMillan each 2 rbis. Jonah Knuppel 2 hits.

Good Luck to all three levels of Morton Potters Baseball!

Varsity travels to Canton to take on the Little Giants, with a 4:15 first pitch.
Sophomores host the Brimfield Indians and the Freshmen host Canton, both with a 4:15 first pitch.

Potters improve to 4-3 on the season, with 9-0 combined no-hitter vs Streator! Crawford, Sander, and Parnham combine for the no-hitter, striking out 13 over 7 innings.

Adams goes 2-3 at the plate with an RBI. Davis, Lovell, Springer, Taylor, and Tindall all with hits.

Quality 3-0 win over Tremont behind a dominant pitching performing by Collin Burns. Burns got the win, going 6 innings with 8 strikeouts, 0 walks and surrendering 4 hits. Owen Adams and Jude Parnham with an RBI each, Gil Poshard with a key bunt, and Hudson Lovell with single.

Next game is Friday vs Streator at 4:15
