The use of “travel baseball” is erroneous definition for this team. The primary distinction of “travel” is playing Fri, Sat, Sun, a 3 game guarantee with fees of $500 to $800 for that weekend only, with winners receiving awards, and even regional team rankings in a collective area of play. The Morristown Canes MS Baseball has never in its existence played in such a format or even after the HS season. Our team operates 100% in the same HS season and under direct supervision of East HS baseball. Our teams mimic the style of play, locations, and fees for MS teams. 100% of every team that Morristown Canes MS Baseball has played has been the “5th, 6th, 7th, 8th graders of every HS and played on their home field in last 6 years. “Travel” teams do not do that. Individually our players can do so between May and our season start in late Feb but it is on their time. We encourage every player on our team to play travel outside of our MS program.

So use of the word “travel” is incorrect in our opinion….our best description for this team….
