Congratulations to these Lady Lancers on their Senior Night tomorrow night. This group of ladies holds a special place in my heart. Most of them came over as 8th Graders to Morrisonville when the Jr. High Softball Co-Op switched to Morrisonville and the High School Softball Co-Op began in 2021-2022. That year we won a Regional Championship with this group. I also got to be apart the High School careers from freshman through their junior year as an Assistant Coach for the Lincolnwood Lancers.

I miss them this spring, but have been busy being an Assistant for the Mohawks Baseball Team. I have been keeping up with their scores and getting game recaps from some of the underclassmen. I incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication over the years, and they have grown to be great young women with bright futures. I would be there tomorrow to cheer you on in person, but we have a Junior Varsity Baseball Game at home and a Varsity Game away. I will be cheering you on from afar. Keep working hard. Keep dreaming, and most importantly keep having fun! Go Lancers! Go Mohawks! 🥎🥎🧡🧡❤️❤️

PS-You are always welcome to stop by and say hi, or come help out with Jr. High Girls or eat all of my snacks and gum. 🤣🤣

Please don't forget to get your Interest Sheet turned as soon as possible. It is looking like we will have good numbers again, so we will likely run a two team schedule.

I have also added the numbers listed on the Interest Sheets to our Remind Group. If you were in there last year, it is the same. I will send out a test message later this week. If you have any questions please let Coach Stutz know. Go Mohawks!

Jr. High Softball Interest Forms should be making their way through Morrisonville and Raymond Lincolnwood. This is for girls entering 6th-8th Grade who are interested in play softball this fall. Summer Travel Softball Opportunity for anyone who maybe interested.

"My name is Caine Cloe and I'm here in Hillsboro. We have recently started a summer travel softball team for Jr. High aged girls. 20-25 games with 2 tournaments.

Games are start of April-start of June. Majority are on weekends with a few during the week to try to allow our girls the ability to play rec. Practice will be 1/2 times a week starting Sunday and then we'll adjust that based on the rec load.

Morrisonville & Raymond Lincolnwood girls furthest travel would probably be Vandalia. Cost would be for uniforms only which is 3 jerseys and 2 pairs of socks. Roughly $60. We also wear black pants and black belts but majority of our girls already have those.

The goal is to start building relationships with girls from other towns and then start a Montgomery County-ish travel team for the girls and try and start that as early as next fall after the Jr. High season is over. The closest we can go is Springfield or Highland for that now so we just figured do our own. If anybody wants to reach out my number is 217-690-7019. Thank you, Lela!

Today is the Illinois Elementary School Association Thank an AD Day! Here in Morrisonville we have one of the best, Ms. Lela Ferrill. Thanks to all of Lela's hard work and dedication the students of Morrisonville and our co-ops have the opportunity to succeed not only in the classroom but on the court and fields of the respective sports. She does all of this while also serving the District as Bookkeeper. Thank you, Lela for all that you do for us Mohawks!
