🐻💙 BCHS Lady Bears Volleyball – 2025 Season Recap & Banquet Highlights! 💙🐻

On Sunday, November 30th, our Lady Bears wrapped up an incredible volleyball season with our annual banquet. It was an evening filled with celebration, reflection, and well-earned recognition for the hard work, improvement, and resilience our players showed all year long.

This season marked the beginning of a new era for BCHS Volleyball under Head Coach Kevin Harrod and Assistant Coach Ryan Hancock. Their energy, structure, and belief in these players made an immediate impact — and the results speak for themselves.

2025 Season

• Overall: 12–23

📈 The Lady Bears improved in every single category — tripling their total wins and making huge strides in region and district play.
These numbers reflect the hard work of our athletes and the strong direction from our new coaching staff.

🏐💙 LADY BEARS VOLLEYBALL ON THE ROAD! 💙🏐

Our Lady Bears traveled to Edmonson County last night to take on the Lady Wildcats — and brought the energy!

🔥 Freshmen kicked things off with a sweep — 21-15, 21-14!
💪 JV battled through three sets to snag the win — 21-18, 15-21, 15-10!
🐻 Varsity fought hard, taking the third set but falling short in four — 15-25, 14-25, 25-21, 16-25.

Tonight was also extra special as we celebrated Senior Night, honoring our 6 incredible seniors for their years of dedication, hard work, and leadership within the Lady Bear Volleyball program. 💐🐻

Coming off last night’s big district win over Trinity, the Lady Bears are rewriting the record books!

🏐 Samie Johnson – 55 digs in a single game + passed 1,000 career digs
🛑Miley Franzell & Jenelle Kimmel – set a school record with 14 blocks in a game
🚧 Jenelle Kimmel – already at 105 blocks this season (and counting!)

💙🐻 This team is on fire and not slowing down anytime soon!

The BCHS Lady Bears battled through an intense five-set showdown to take down the Whitesville Trinity Lady Raiders in a huge district win — our first victory over Trinity since 2019! 🙌
