Our girls battled their way through two tough games today and finished 1-1 in pool play.

Game 1: Motown Monstarz 11 — St. Marys Pounders 6
The girls came out swinging and flashing the leather on defense to take down a really good Pounders team.

Game 2: Motown Monstarz 5 — Clarion Wildcats 7
Our Monstarz ladies lost a hard-fought, defensive game against a well-coached Wildcats team. The game could have ended with either of us on top, but we came up just short.

Tomorrow is a NEW day. A new opportunity. A chance to put everything we've learned this season on the field and leave it all out there and bring home a tournament championship!

We begin bracket play at 1pm - Follow us on game changer to support our ladies!

This weekend is a little bittersweet as we head into our LAST 8U tournament of the season! 🖤💚🥎

What an incredible year it has been. We’ve learned so much, grown together as a team, won some games, lost some games, made some amazing memories, and most importantly, had a whole lot of fun along the way.

Watching these girls grow their confidence, learn from challenges, celebrate each other, and fall even more in love with this beautiful game has made this season so special. We’re definitely excited for one more tournament, but it’s also hard to believe our 8U journey is coming to an end. 😭

One more weekend. One more tournament. One more chance to leave it all on the field. 💪🥎

Let’s finish this season the right way in Clarion, Pa and make one more set of memories together!

This weekend didn't end with the result we wanted, but 2nd place is nothing to hang your heads about.

Out of a 10-team tournament, the Monstarz battled their way to a 2nd-place finish in the top bracket. We came up short in the championship against a team that came out swinging with some big, strong hitters, and we just couldn't match it this time.

It stings because these girls know that they're capable of bringing home the championship. That's what competitors do—they believe they can win.

With only a few tournaments left this season, I truly believe this team has everything it takes to put all the pieces together and bring home some 1st-place hardware. The talent is there. The heart is there. The knowledge is there. We just have to apply all these aspects at the same time. We just need to keep working, keep battling, keep getting better, and believe in ourselves and each other.

Heads up, Monstarz. Your time is coming! 🖤💚🥎

The ladies went 1-0 today in pool play before the thunderstorms rolled in and caused the rest of pool play to be canceled. 🌧 The rain has been persistent this season and caused more rainouts than we could ever imagine 😡

We are back at it tomorrow for bracket play at 11am!

Despite the Canadian wildfires 🔥, The Monstarz 8u will be headed back to Ohio this weekend! Wish our little ladies luck ...

Sweat was poured as the hot summer sun shined down on us the last two weeks while prepping for our next tourny. Now, it's time for the Motown Monstarz 8U to bring the energy, heart, and determination to the Mountain State Mayhem Tournament this weekend! 🖤💚🥎 G'Luck ladies!

Practice isn't always about drills and competition... sometimes it's about some laughs and memories 🖤💚🥎

Every now and then, it's important to take a break from the intensity and just have some good old-fashioned fun.

To wrap up practice, we played a game where the girls lined up behind the coaches and took turns saying "Hi Coach _________ ." After each girl, the coaches tried to guess who was talking. Let's just say... Coach Matt is definitely more of an eyes guy than an ears guy because he didn't do great! 😂 The girls sure liked making fun of and laughing at his guesses 💩

The laughs, smiles, and friendships these girls are building can be just as important as the skills they're developing on the field. Moments like these are what youth sports are all about.

🏆 Tournament Weekend is Here! 🥎🖤💚

The Motown Monstarz 8U team is headed to the Mountain State Mayhem Tournament this weekend in Wheeling and Moundsville. I think these girls are ready to compete!

Friday Pool Play Schedule:
🥎 9:15 AM – vs. Cosmic Chaos
🥎 10:30 AM – vs. Loco Aftershock
🥎 2:15 PM – vs. Lady Dukes WPA Crayton

Bracket play begins Saturday, with game times and locations determined by Friday's pool play results.

These girls have worked hard all season and truly appreciate your support! If you can make it out, come cheer them on. If you can't be there in person, every game will be streamed live on GameChanger.
