⚾️💛 More than a second-place finish 💛⚾️
Years from now, most of these boys probably won’t remember the final records. They may not remember where they finished in the standings. But we hope they’ll remember the moments.
The excitement of getting that big hit. The nervousness before a game. The laughs in the dugout. The friendships they built. The feeling of being part of a team that’s believed in each other.
This season was about so much more than baseball. It was about watching a group of young boys learn that success comes from effort, that mistakes are part of growing, and that teammates become friends and sometimes feel more like family.
From practice to the games, these boys showed up ready to learn, compete, and have fun! They played with heart, supported one another, and represented themselves, their families, and this team in a way that made every coach proud. 💪🏼
As coaches, we spend a lot of time hoping we’re teaching them the game. But truth is, these boys taught us just as much. They reminded us to celebrate the little things, to enjoy the moment, and to remember why we fell in love with this game in the first place.
An 8-2 record and a second-place finish are great accomplishments, especially for a group of 6- year olds competing against older kids. But what we should carry with us the most is having the privilege to watch their confidence continuing to grow week after week and seeing the smiles on their faces when they realize what they could accomplish together. 🤞🏼
They accomplished something far greater. They grew. They believed. They competed. They are a team!!
& for that, we couldn’t be more proud.
Thank you boys, for an unforgettable spring season! ❤️
