It was a great day at team camp yesterday! We had a close match-up with North Butler and then tied with CPU to end the day.

Coaches were really happy with overall performance, despite having to play in a hot gym with no AC all day.

We want to thank all the girls who came to play yesterday, especially our freshmen who were a little nervous to start the day - but played really aggressively once they went in.

Can’t wait to see what the season brings! We have a great group of girls and there’s a lot of potential! 🏀🐾

Girls are at Maq Valley for team camp today!
Started off the day with a win against Midland.
We will also play North Butler and CPU’s JV today.

Reminder: No more open gyms this summer due to the gym floors being waxed.
🏀 HS girls are headed to MV camp on Tuesday!

✅ Today marks our last day of lifting, speed/agility, and open gyms for the summer. High schoolers head to MV for team camp at the beginning of next week, and then we are on hiatus until season starts in November.

‼️ As we close out our final week, coaches would like to give a special shoutout to Senior and Captain Kennedy. She has gone out of her way to get our 7th graders involved in open gyms. She’s communicated with teammates to try and get them to be more consistent in the weight room and attend open gyms. Kennedy has also been the most consistent in the weight room, speed/agility, and in the gym this summer. She’s shown true leadership and commitment to the program. ⭐️

‼️ Our second most consistent has been sophomore, Peytin! She’s pushed herself in the weight room/speed and agility, and she’s been persistent with her skills work in the gym. We can’t wait to see how it transfers into the season! 💪🏼🏀

Attention Basketball Players!!
This next week will be lifting only (& speed/agility) but NO OPEN GYM.
We encourage 7-8 graders to attend the basketball camp. We encourage all HS girls to help with camp following lifts!

Week 5 ✅
Some weight room action today. We also tested our broad jump again, which we first tested 2 weeks ago.

‼️ Highlights ‼️
🏀 Emma and Mallory shot 50-60% from the top zones from 3.
🏀 Kennedy, Peyton, Peytin, and Reagan worked on mid-range shots off a hard dribble move - improvement was made since last week’s session.

Coaches would just like to say how proud we are of the players that consistently come to weights and open gym and put in the work. All your hard work will show come basketball season! Summer workouts are key for development and improvement!

Week 5 going GREAT!

Ended speed and agility with some ab work, and Heather got our 7th graders into the action (which they were oh so enthused about 😂).

‼️Highlights‼️

🏀Kennedy and Peyton shot 60% off the gun. Shooting 62-65% from 3/5 zones. No red zones today!
🏀Kennedy and Peytin scrimmaged with the 7th graders, and even Coach Kremer joined in!

Back at it tomorrow before relaxing for the holiday weekend!
