Mark your calendars for Eagle Clay Day! 🎯🦅

Join us Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Old Hudson Plantation for a day of shooting, food, prizes, and fun while supporting the Georgia Southern University Clay Target Team.

Event options:
4-person team: $750
Station sponsor: $300
Individual entry: $200
GIAA team member: $150

Included with entry:
100 sporting clays targets & Lunch

Golf carts will be available to rent for $75 for the day. Long bird competition, mulligan packages, and raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.

Sponsorship deadline: September 4, 2026
This deadline is important for sponsors who want to be included on this year’s team vest and jersey.

🎯 Congratulations to our Piedmont Academy Shotgun Team! 🎯

The Cougars finished 5th Place in the GIAA AAA State Shotgun Tournament held this past week at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia.

We are extremely proud of our coaches and shooters for their dedication and outstanding performance throughout the season.

💙 We would also like to thank our Athletic Director, Coach Danny Camp, for his continued support and presence at our shoots and at the state competition. His encouragement and leadership mean so much to our athletes and the entire program.

The Piedmont Academy Shotgun Team wrapped up their final regular season match this weekend and now have their sights locked on STATE!
This team has shown commitment, grit, and Cougar pride all season long.

We had our last home shoot this past Saturday at Old Hudson Plantation and we came away with 2nd place breaking 632 clays out of 750. Barrett Downing was 2nd place for HOA with 136 out of 150. Morgan Hayes tied for 3rd and Kinsley Spears 4th for Female HOA. Our top shooters were:

Jase Swafford- 127
Thomas Carmichael - 119
Jake Harmon - 118

This past Saturday our team competed at Burnt Pine for the first time. We placed 2nd out of 6 teams. Our top 5 shooters were:

1-Davis Downs-87+49=136
2-Barrett Downing 89+46=135
3-Everett Smith 87+47=134
4-Elliott Smith 84+44=128
5-Ty Delamar 83+42=125 125

Morgan Hayes was the female HOA for the competition.

We are very pleased with the practice and effort the kids have put in as they tune up for State at the end of the month.
