We had a great training session last night with a great group of students. We were joined by Matthieu who is home on break from college, and is a near-lifelong Kenshinkai student who trained many years directly under Kancho. His movement is very much influenced by Kancho. Watching him reminds me of our great Master, and helps keep his spirit alive in the dojo, along with every student who puts their heart and soul into their training. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!

Yesterday marked the 8th year since Kancho's passing. We had a great class, and spent time doing kata, meotode, and sparring. Though few of the current students had the privilege of training directly under Kancho, his influence lives on and inspires a new generation.

One of our students, Mr. Gonzalez, made this custom bo case for me. It holds several bo staffs and/or kai, and has a reinforced bottom, lined interior, sewn-through and reinforced carrying strap, elastic bo separators, hook and loop flap, and embroidered school logo on the front. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are amazing, and I will enjoy it for many years to come.
