Let's talk about what was happening at the top of the lineup this past weekend. đź‘€

Westin Warmbold — aka Showtime — put on a show that lived up to the name. 1.327 OPS. A double. A triple. 7 runs scored. 10 stolen bases across 6 games. The kid was absolutely everywhere on the basepaths all weekend long.

Diesel White — aka Mad Dog — was a nightmare for opposing teams. 1.267 OPS. 2 doubles. 7 runs scored. 5 RBIs. And 13 stolen bases. THIRTEEN. Over 6 games. Did we mention he's 9 years old? The youngest player on the roster — out here playing like a veteran.

Combined, these two drove in 8 runs, scored 14, and swiped 23 bags over the course of the weekend. That's not just speed — that's a weapon.

That's HWPO baseball. Top to bottom. 🖤⚾

You want to talk about pitching? Let's talk about pitching. 🔥

This weekend, two arms stood out — but make no mistake, nothing these two did means anything without the defense behind them, the bats that showed up, and a team that refused to quit every single inning.

With that said.

Grayson Miller went out Sunday and threw a complete game shutout. 4 innings. 1 hit. 1 walk. 8 strikeouts. Zero runs. An 8-0 win that punched our ticket into Monday as the 10 seed. Dominant doesn't cover it.

Jaxon Ricker made three appearances this weekend. Saturday he dealt — 3 innings, 1 hit, no runs. Then Monday came and he was right back out there as a reliever in two of the closest games of the tournament. In the Texas shootout, he threw out a runner trying to steal home to close it out. That's ice in the veins at 10 years old.

Two kids. Nine total innings. Zero quit.

This is what the work looks like when it shows up on the biggest stage.

Proud of these two — and proud of every single player who made this weekend what it was. 🖤⚾

This is why HWPO exists. Not just the wins. Not just the titles. This.

A group of boys who have been grinding together - some since they were seven years old.

We started out barely winning a single game. We run hills in the off-season not because they have to — but because they want to. We show up, get after it, and actually love the work.
In a world full of distractions, that is rare. These boys are rare.

The coaches pour everything into this group and what they see in their future goes way beyond baseball. High school. Beyond.

Young men who know how to work for something.

That's what we're building here. Every single day. 🖤⚾

We came in as defending champions.

We left without the title yesterday.

That's the truth, and these boys know it ... and they deserve for us to say it out loud.

But here's the rest of the truth.

On Saturday we went 0-2.

Nobody panicked. Nobody quit.

They came back Sunday and went 2-0.

Then — when everything had to go exactly right just to even get a shot at Monday — it did.

Every single thing that needed to fall into place, fell into place.

We slipped in as the 10 seed. The last team in.

Families packed up and drove 90 minutes not even knowing if there'd be a game to play.

Waiting on pool play to finish because of the rain delays on Saturday. Uncertain. Ready anyway.

That's this family.

Then these boys went out and won game one in a Texas shootout.

Down to the wire, wouldn't go away.

Game two — so close. Last inning was tied 7-7.

Everything they had, until the very last out.

It didn't go their way this time.

Defending champions don't always repeat. That's baseball.

That's life.

But what these boys showed this weekend — the resilience, the fight, the refusal to fold when Saturday looked like it broke them — that's something no scoreboard can measure.

We see you. Every single one of you.

The work was real. The heart was real. The comeback was real.

Hard Work Pays Off. Not always on the scoreboard. But always in the character it builds. 🖤⚾

We have 2 weeks off and will be back at it on June 13th - our last regular tournament before our World Series in the Lake of the Ozarks!

This is baseball.

Yesterday was hard. We won’t sugarcoat it.

Two losses, a lot of rain and thunderstorms, a long quiet ride home, and a lot of feelings to process.

That’s real. That happened.

But these boys showed up this morning anyway.

Same field. Same boys. Different energy.

Two wins today. Back to back. Earned every single one of them.

We don’t know yet if we punch a ticket to Monday.

But honestly?

What happened between Saturday and Sunday is already the story worth telling.

Not the scoreboard — the response.

These boys got knocked down, came back together, and played their best baseball of the weekend on the day it mattered most.

That’s not luck. That’s not talent.

That’s character. That’s the work showing up when it’s supposed to.

Whatever Monday holds — we’re proud of this group.

Playing at the Field of Dreams in League City this weekend reminded us why we do this.

This game is beautiful and brutal and nothing about it is promised.

But these boys? They’re built for it.

Hard Work Pays Off. In the wins and in the grind. 🖤⚾

Every player has a name. Every player has a story. 💚⚾️

Showtime has the freshest shoes on the field.

Sticks hits bombs from the country.

Mighty Mouse is small but don't sleep on him.

Wheels is gone before you even blink.

Bougie just owns it.

The Texas Hammer is out here repping the sponsor AND the nickname.

Gremlin is keeping the dugout alive.

Smiles doesn't smile.

Mad Dog is just built that way.

And Snacks… well. Priorities. 🍕

These are the boys of HWPO. Every single one of them different. Every single one of them exactly where they belong.
This is our team. 🖤⚾

This weekend just got real. 🔥

Defending champions. Super Regional NIT. Let's go.

The boys are headed to Ebbets Field at The Ballpark in League City this weekend and they're not going down there to participate — they're going down there to defend what they earned.

Four pool play games over two days. One mission.

The work that happened in the off season, in the batting cage, on the mound, hundreds of reps in the field, running hills when nobody was watching — this is where it shows up.

Come follow along. Follow the scores live on GameChanger — search **AP Express 10U - White** — and follow us here for updates all weekend long.

The title belongs to us. Time to prove it's still ours. 🏆🖤⚾

This is Coach D. And this is why we built HWPO.
Not a speech. Not a sales pitch. Just a coach who believes — deep in his bones — that hard work is something you have to keep applying. Every day. In sports and in life.
"You start here, and you just keep paying your dues… and eventually it pays off."
That's the whole thing right there. That's what we're teaching these boys. That's what this organization is built on.
Watch this and tell us it doesn't hit different coming from a guy who means every word of it. 🖤⚾

Nobody told them to do this today.

They just did it. Because that's what they do.

From day one, these kids were taught to respect their equipment. Take care of your gear. Set it down right. Don't throw it, don't drop it, don't leave it wherever.

It sounds small. But it's not small.

It's the same discipline that shows up in the batter's box. The same accountability that shows up when a ball gets through. The same habits that will follow these boys long after they've outgrown these gloves.

Every glove in this photo belongs to a kid who's learning that how you do the small things is how you do everything.

That's HWPO. 🖤⚾
