Attn Upward Parents and family: I apologize for having to wait so long to officially announce this, but due to several reasons I will not be able to lead the Upward basketball program at Monterey First Baptist this year. I am primarily uncertain about being able to commit the time to it that is needed and have been running the program on a skeleton crew since I took it over. I am not going to do anything that robs others of the blessing that it should be. I love the kids more than I can express and they have made such a positive impact on myself and the leaders of Upward. Thank you Johnny Bowman for starting the league in 2014 and the vision that God gave you for it. The plan is to take a year off and hopefully several will step up to help and Lead in the future. I know that several towns around us have Upward including Crossville and Cookeville. Deadline is close on Crossville and Cookeville still has a little time. Thank you to all the parent’s and families that have shared your children’s with us for basketball and thank you so much for all the helpers, volunteers, and prayers these last five years. Jeremy
