Had another good weekend. Got my first feature win in the go kart at our local track, and while doing it I lapped my own Dad! 😆 (here’s the video of just that)

Saturday was spent spotting for Nathan Koester at Owosso in the Late Model Sportsman division. Always a good weekend when you can spend it at a race track. Let alone two of them with some great people!

What a busy week. NASCAR race Sunday the 7th with my daughter, the Money in the Bank 150 Tuesday/Wednesday with Hullster Racing and then spotting Turn Left Motorsports for the race itself, and then an Owosso Weekly race Saturday night with Nathan Koester Racing where I got my first top 3 as a spotter! Busy but very rewarding week! Looking forward to more!

Spent last night in the spotters stand. Made my Berlin Spotter debut for Turn Left Motorsports . Went pretty good once I got back into my rhythm. Had to shake the cobwebs off for the beginning of the race and remind myself it’s okay to give calls even if they’re kinda silly when the driver is running by himself to keep us both locked in. Once there was some action I felt right back at home. We recorded the audio so stay tuned to Justin’s page for video with spotter audio!

Big news!

I’ve been doing a lot of self reflecting lately on how I want to contribute to the racing world long term. I’ll more than likely never be able to afford a super late model or let alone anything above that, but I absolutely love that type of racing and want to contribute as much as I can. So I recently got into spotting and have decided THAT is how I want to contribute to racing in the future! I created a LLC for “spotting, coaching, and consulting” and will make it a goal to eventually spot higher up races and get paid to do it. Maybe an ARCA race someday? Definitely will be a few years down the road, but that’s the goal with this.

Obviously I’m using the coaching and consulting terms loosely. Especially now while I’m still learning myself. I’ll never be done learning, but this allows me to cover my basis for any future expansions or projects I pursue.

I’m excited to share that Maverick Motorsports is looking to take the next step this season.

As a growing race team, I’m planning to compete in more events—including traveling to more and larger kart races throughout the year. With that step forward comes increased costs, including engine builds, race tires, safety gear, and travel expenses.

That’s why I’m beginning to seek out sponsorship and advertising partnerships.
