Opening Day 12/27/25 - Closing Day 3/29/26
The Friends sure do wish we were at the mountain gearing up for another ski day. Instead we are putting the lifts and lodge to bed, settling the end of season expenses and planning for next season. Our volunteer group is grateful for the support from the community and the no-cost lease agreement to provide affordable outdoor winter recreation to the greater Moosehead Lake Community.

The mountain property and surrounding undeveloped acreage is still for sale. The future is still very much uncertain. Funds raised for the Ski the View, Save the Mountain Campaign now exceed $2.6M. The money sits, waiting for a closing date and a chance at community, non-profit ownership of these 1,700 incomparable acres.

This week we are excited to share the next steps. The Friends have retained a highly accredited commercial appraiser. Our trusted legal team is also finalizing the draft of the purchase agreement. This chapter in the mountain story will undoubtably be the most challenging and most worth while. Thank you all for understanding the importance of this place that is so special to so many. We finish Season 14 as a leaseholder with a goal to begin Season 15 as the landowner!!!
