π After 35 years of dedicated service, weβre celebrating the retirement of Mrs. Bethlea Pieratt! π
A proud Monroe graduate herself, Bethlea has spent her entire career giving back to the very community that shaped her. Walking the same halls she once did as a student, she brought a unique sense of history, heart and hometown pride to her work every single day. One of her most cherished memories was being part of Monroeβs transformation into its own school district some 25 years agoβa defining moment that reminded her of the strength and spirit of this incredible community.
Throughout her career, sheβs taught countless students, built lasting friendships with colleagues, and served as a constant source of encouragement and positivity. This year, her legacy was honored in a special way when she was named the recipient of the Patti Jo Shull Award.
As she turns the page to her next chapter, Bethlea will continue supporting future educators as a practicum supervisor for IMSE. Sheβs also looking forward to slowing down, spending more time with family, and saying goodbye to early mornings, packed lunches and Sunday ironing marathons.
Her parting wisdom? βBe the positive light on your team. Support one another. Itβs not always easy, but try to make a difference every single day.β
Thank you, Mrs. Pieratt, for 35 years of heart, leadership and a legacy that will continue to shape Monroe for years to come. ππ
