🚜 Garden Grove Gusto did AMAZING last night in Nevada! 🚜

Jordan Van Wyngarden was behind the wheel and pulled Garden Grove Gusto to a 301 FULL PULL! 🏁💪. The tractor performed flawlessly and the clutch held with no issues in a C-3 C-4 run of the transmission.

Only two pulls left in the season September 11 in Tama, Iowa and September 13 in Cromwell with the powder puff pulls the same evening!

🏁 Garden Grove Gusto had a learning night on the track! 🏁

Jordan came out with a plan to really push the tractor and try to get it into the next gear, D-3, to pick up more speed down the track. Unfortunately, the clutch just wasn’t strong enough to hold that shift under load, which kept us from getting the run we were aiming for.

Even so, we still made a solid pass down the track and gave it everything we had. It wasn’t quite what we hoped for, but sometimes those are the nights that teach you the most.

The good news is this run gave us a ton of valuable information. We now know exactly what we need to work on and adjust before the next pull, and that’s a big win in itself.

Despite the challenges, Garden Grove Gusto still went 244 feet down the track and brought home a 3rd place finish! 🏆💪

Not the outcome we were chasing, but definitely a step forward in the right direction. We’ll regroup, make the changes, and come back stronger next time!

🏁 Daddy’s Money had a strong night in Maxwell! 🏁

The truck made an awesome, hard-pulling run down the track, but it definitely didn’t come without a little extra effort behind the scenes.

The night before at another pull, we ran into some bad luck when the transfer case and rear axle shaft broke. With very little time and even less sleep, Chase—being the excellent mechanic he is—went straight to work and had the truck completely repaired in under 18 hours. By 2 PM in Maxwell, Daddy’s Money was back together and ready to pull! 🔧💪

All that hard work paid off when Chase sent it 298 feet down the track, bringing home a 3rd place finish! 🏆🔥

Long night, quick turnaround, and a strong finish—couldn’t be prouder of the effort that went into this one!

Way to go, Daddy’s Money! 💨💪

🏁 Dirt Slinger had a great night in Maxwell! 🏁

The truck made a great, consistent run down the track, and we were really happy with how it pulled!

Our regular driver, Vince, wasn’t able to make it, so little brother Jordan volunteered to drive and took the wheel. This was Jordan’s FIRST time driving the pulling truck, and he did an awesome job! 👏

Jordan took Dirt Slinger 285 feet down the track and brought home a 5th place finish! 💪🔥

Overall, we’re very happy with how the truck performed and excited to keep building on it! A big congratulations to Jordan on his first pull! 🏆

Another great night for the Van Wyngarden Family Pulling team! 💪🏁

Dirt Slinger put on a strong performance at the Monroe County Fair in Albia, and we’re proud to bring home a 🥉 3rd Place finish!

The competition was tough from top to bottom, and we’re thankful to have been part of such a great night of pulling. Every hook is a chance to learn, improve, and have fun doing what we love.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support us, the Monroe County Fair, the officials and volunteers, and all of the competitors for putting on an awesome show. We appreciate all the hard work that goes into making these events happen.
