The Moneta Warriors are a newly formed, non-profit travel basketball team in Moneta, VA. With any travel sports team, there are so many different costs associated with ensuring a properly running team: uniforms, equipment, team insurance, tournament fees, etc. To pay for these costs, travel teams typically cover the majority of their costs by charging player dues. These costs can be as much as $500+ and in most cases, fall on the shoulders of the players and their families. We realize that there are so many talented kids that would love the opportunity to be able to compete at a higher level but they are unable to do so simply because of cost alone. Our mission with starting Moneta Warriors is to make it possible for more kids to have the opportunity to play travel basketball while being solely dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the court by providing a competitive, inclusive, and supportive environment. We are committed to fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline while helping each player grow in their basketball skills and character. Through hard work, perseverance, and a shared love for the game, we strive to inspire young athletes to reach their full potential and become leaders in their communities.
