This week, we're celebrating Karthik Ganesh as he begins an exciting new adventure!
Many of our members know Karthik as a familiar face around the Quad City Tennis Club—whether at the front desk, leading a pickleball class, or competing on the courts. While attending Pleasant Valley High School and playing on the tennis team, Karthik served as our Pickleball Coordinator, helping grow our pickleball community through our Pickleball 101 and 102 programs, league play, tournaments, and special events. His ability to connect with players of all ages and skill levels made a lasting impression on so many of our members.
Karthik's success wasn't limited to the club. As a junior at Pleasant Valley, he captured the Iowa State Doubles Championship, and more recently, he earned a spot in the main draw of his very first Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) event—an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work he has put into his game.
As he leaves the Quad Cities, Karthik is headed to Colorado to continue training and sharpening his skills before making the move to Florida, where he will begin a full-time position as a pickleball instructor. This next step allows him to continue chasing his goal of playing professionally while building a career in the sport that has become such a big part of his life.
Karthik, thank you for everything you've given to the Quad City Tennis Club. Thank you for the players you've helped, the events you've helped bring to life, and the enthusiasm and positivity you brought to the club each day. We are grateful for the impact you've had on our members and our pickleball community.
We are proud of all you've accomplished and excited to see what comes next. We wish you the very best in Colorado, Florida, and beyond as you continue your journey in pickleball. No matter where the game takes you, you'll always have a home at the Quad City Tennis Club. 🤍
