🏀Reds End Season Fighting To The End🏀
The Big Reds finished their season last night going down without a fight to state ranked Underwood.
There were definitely lots of tears but true colors show when your brothers are hurting, and the care for eachother in the locker room can’t be described. When you work so hard for something, it hurts awfully bad but having a family there for you, makes it manageable.
Their dream was to get to Des Moines and they never let up in working toward that!! Only one team out of 96 class 2A teams won’t feel that feeling of losing their last game.
We were battle tested every night with three state ranked teams in our conference, but the guys embraced the challenge knowing that’s the only way to get better.
Winning that first district game in 10 years felt really good but we really wanted more! This group really believed!
It was comforting knowing that our guys could hold their heads high feeling assured that they did everything they could to work together toward that goal. They are special basketball players, but when it comes to great people… I would put these guys up against anyone, anyday, anytime!
Thanks to our fans for your support! The parents always showing up no matter the weather or how many games we played that week, the students for their high energy, our managers for doing anything and everything we ask, the band for giving us a great environment and music, and Brian Knott, Bruce Thomas, Jimmy Myler, Troy Maasen, and Megan West for making it all run smooth at the scorers table, Mike Tiffey for making transportation work, our cheerleaders, the Dance Team, and to FCS and Jamie Fouts and his crew for keeping the gym looking great all season.
Our coaches and players are forever grateful for all of your support and we couldn’t have done any of it without all of you!!
