Congratulations to MYCA Under-15 star Humza Shaikh on his selection and participation in the USA Cricket Under-15 National Championship in Rydal, Georgia!

This tournament marks the final stage of the 2025 USAC Junior Men’s Pathway Program, where the top two teams from both the East and West Conferences compete for the national title.

MYCA proudly celebrates Humza’s achievement and wishes him the very best in this prestigious event. Special congratulations also to Mr. Sajid Shaikh for serving as the Team Manager for the Missouri (Midwest) squad.

Congratulations to our very own Taha Farooqi on being drafted by the Orlando Galaxy for the 2025 Minor League Cricket (MiLC) season!

Taha’s hard work, dedication, and consistent performance have truly paid off. An all-star player, a proud member, and a youth coach of the Minnesota Youth Cricket Academy (MYCA), Taha has been an inspiration both on and off the field.

He has represented the Minnesota Cricket Association (MCA) Youth Team and Continental Cricket Club, while also playing for the Chicago Incredibles and Barrington Crescent Cricket Club. Taha has showcased his talent in major tournaments, including the 2025 Michigan Diversity Cup, the 2025 St. Louis Liberty Cup, and the 2025 American Franchise League (STL). In 2024, he earned the honor of being selected for the Western Conference team at USA Cricket’s Senior Men’s National Championship in Los Angeles, CA.

On behalf of the Minnesota Youth Cricket Academy, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. We are incredibly proud of you, Taha!

Bio:
Unmukt Chand is a former Indian cricketer. He led the India U19 team to 2012 U19 World Cup title! He is a right-handed top order batsman who currently plays for the Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket, and the Melbourne Renegades in Australia's Big Bash League. He also played for Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals in IPL, Chattogram Challengers in BPL.
