Why doesn’t the Weight loss Industry Highlight Self-Care or Self-Love?
You know, I have been asking that question myself lately.
Leaving out how we Treat ourselves on a Day-to-day Basis HUGELY impacts us and our Success.
Especially when it comes to Achieving our Wellness Goals. 💪
Imagine a hard driven woman, who is an Executive Marketing Director, loves the fact that she is curvy woman and owns her curves every day, goes into the doctor’s office for a routine yearly physical.
She is feeling fine about stepping on the scale, knowing that she has been working on eating healthier and providing her body with a little movement every day. 👍
She steps on the scale, doesn’t look down because she is confident that her weight hasn’t fluctuated too much. When the nurse says her weight out loud…Her stomach drops….”What?!!!! Since when?!”
The nurse looks at her like she crazy because how could she have not known?
So she heads home after the appointment and goes through her fridge and pantry…
Throwing away all the food that is “unhealthy”.
She goes to her calendar and schedules in workouts for every day.
Decides to go on a juice cleanse and forbids herself from all sweets. 😭
This situation is what I like to call…Scale Panic.
You make decisions, changes, promises, while in panic and in a high stress mode.
If she chose to respond, instead of react,
She would have made decisions, and commitments from a place of awareness and compassion.
A much better, peaceful, and relaxing place to be. 💜
Don’t you DESERVE to be Gentle, Compassionate, and Patient with your choices?
I believe that you do.

Before you harshly Judge yourself for eating ice cream or popcorn loaded with butter, and before you call yourself a fat cow,
I invite you to release the Judgment on yourself and approach the situation with Compassion.
