"I grew up Christian but I walked away from my faith when I was a teenager. I had my back towards God for almost twenty years. About a year ago I got resaved and six weeks before that, a good friend and mentor of mine died. Ten days after that my grandpa died. And I was hurting.
I just didn't want to turn to things of the world. For the first time, I felt like there's something better to turn to. I picked up a Bible, started reading every day, and found a church.
Few months later, I was feeling like this is really hard, walking alone, so I started praying about it. That same week, God put Randall in my life. And I was like, man, just having one friend to pursue Christ with is pretty sweet, I bet having some more would be better. So I started praying about it some more... I went to a home dinner that first night, and kind of like everyone else had been saying, right away it felt like everyone had known me and was super open to having me.
..there's always been that challenge, and the funny thing with this group of people - that doesn't seem to matter at all, because we are all just pursuing Christ. And we have that one thing in common, and it makes everything else not matter." — Blake G.
