All tryouts are being held from 9AM - 11AM at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in Bloomington, MN! The fee is $35 if registered by 9/20 (otherwise $40).

Labor Day honors the workers who organized, sacrificed, and fought for the right to be seen and treated fairly. It's a day rooted in the idea that everyone's labor, and everyone's place at the table, deserves respect. 🖤

That spirit isn't far from our own. Womxn's tackle football wasn't handed to us; it's been built by players, coaches, and volunteers who showed up and did the work anyway, in a sport that's still fighting for its own seat at the table.

So today, we're honoring labor in all its forms - the kind on the job, and the kind that shows up on the practice field, in the front office, and in every corner of this team, building something inclusive, accessible, and empowering for the next generation of Minx.

We extend our deepest sympathies to both Saint Paul Pioneers Football and to J. Alfred Potter’s entire community. Coach Potter was a huge supporter of not only the Minx, but of all of women’s sports. He was dedicated and passionate about those around him, wanting everyone to succeed. It is a true loss to the Twin Cities and sports community. RIP Coach Potter 🖤

It is through indescribable sadness that we share today the passing of Saint Paul Pioneers Vice President and Assistant Offensive Coordinator J. Alfred Potter.

We share in the collective grief of Pioneer Nation and wish to extend our deepest condolences to all the Pioneers; past, present and future who will feel the effect of this loss.

Jake was a Pioneer through and through. And while we honor and cherish his place with the team, we know he was so much more than that. He was a friend, a chosen brother and a man dedicated to making a meaningful connection with the world around him.

This loss will be felt deeply and for a long time.

You don't need to have played football to belong here. What you need is a belief in what we're building: an inclusive, accessible, uplifting community where womxn develop, compete, and lead.

Whether you've got 20 years of coaching under your belt or you've never touched a football but know how to run a spreadsheet, organize an event, or rally a room — there's a place for you with the Minx.

We are pleased to announce the Minnesota Minx 2027 Season Head Coach, Sheena Reed 👏 Sheena is returning for her 5th season as a Minx coach. This is Sheena’s first season as Head Coach. Previously she has coached Defensive Line, Running Backs, Special Teams Coordinator, and Assistant Head Coach.

Prior to coaching, Sheena played 6 seasons of tackle football on the Wisconsin Warriors (2013) and Minnesota Vixen (2016, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2022). Some of Sheena's player accomplishments are 2016 Defensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All American in 2013 and 2016. Sheena's highest playing accomplishment is being selected for the 2022 United States Women's National Football team and earning a gold medal in Finland.

Outside of football, she is a competitive powerlifter, participating in meets such as the Women's ProAm in Cincinnati, OH and the Twin Cities Barbell meet, placing 1st in her weight class and setting an All-Time World Record both for 800lbs in squat and for her lifting total. Professionally, Sheena is a Software Tester for Protolabs. In her free time, she enjoys leathercrafting, reading, baking, and playing games. Sheena is excited to support the growth of the team this season and develop Minx players in their athletic journey. Please help us congratulate and welcome Sheena to her new role! 🥳
