It was a tough battle last night, no one is denying that, we all know it. It may not have been the outcome we wanted but there is no doubt we all should be proud to be Milwaukee Wave Professional Soccer Team fans. The Wave proved once again why they continue to be one of the best teams in the league. We should be proud of the season that ended with a very good record despite all the new players that came in. We should be proud of our impressive six championships. But what separates us from impressive and very good to great is not on a stat sheet, it is character. The emotion and determination you see within everyone involved in the organization every single day, that heart they put out there. You watch players and how they act, with tact and poise, knowing they are a role model for others young and old. When that wall came down last night seeing Hewerton go into the stands to check on the kid as Marcio and other players came over to help fix the glass, truly a class of their own. Players taking the time to thank every fan they can as they walk around the field. Goalkeepers giving their game worn gloves to a fan in the stand. Outside of the game, taking time to visit fans in care facilities and schools to put a smile on their faces. This is what makes The Milwaukee Wave great! This is why I am proud to be a fan! This is why I will root for this team through thick and thin even if their record was 0-20. Thank you to the Wave organization for putting this together year after year, thank you to the players and coaches that treat us as friends not just as a crazy fan, thank you TO the crazy fans that make it more fun, thank you to all. As always I look forward to the next day and next game where I can to cheer with pride for OUR team, all that's left to say is LET'S GO WAVE!
